  1. Damnit....In-laws are in town. Maybe I'll catch the next one, have fun!
  2. Knowing where the collision model ends is a good thing to know. I was flying through the city as fast as I could to find this out. Obviously poles are pretty standard. however tree branches and leaves seem to have a lot of give.
  3. This is the most reckless and inconsiderate flying I have ever seen.
  4. I think flying during the day through the city provides enough of a challenge so far. I can't imagine flying low and suddenly...a wild pole appears. (Ask Batwing)
  5. Not funny at all, just flying through the city:
  6. There is an air assault TS channel under the TAC channels. I am always in there if I am flying.
  7. I practiced more last night using the training mission. I assumed this is what dai san created for us. I practiced top speeds into the city to gauge how far pilots can push it. Using a flare at the last 400-500 meters I was averaging a speed of 200 m/s at a height of 15m maximum. I would say the most important aspect of all this is selecting a good landing spot. If there are trees all over the landing zone it can prove quite difficult to land and take off quickly and efficiently. I should be around tonight after 20:00 to do some more flying runs. I am more than willing to give other pilots tips.
  8. I will *hopefully be around later tonight to do some more hot landings into the city. Anyone is free to join and see what some of us were doing last night. Just beware, many crash and burns will be in your future.
  9. I was hoping you would say that Zeno. I have some time tonight so Ill be around if anyone wants to do some flying.
  10. Zeno, Is it possible to load the Fallujah map with no enemies so I/we can practice flying between buildings and landing first?
  11. I don't think so. From what I've seen, airsoft is more of a 100-300 feet game. However, there are sniper rifles out there that will reach (not 800m, its a plastic bb). When I said real, I meant if you were to have a real M4 and the airsoft M4 in each hand, you couldnt tell the difference. Not to mention once you buy the gun, any real accessory for the real version will fit the airsoft version.
  12. Did some research this weekend on airsoft and stopped by a store in Tulsa. Pretty amazed by the realism of these things. Probably going to stop by Garland this week/weekend and see if I can't get started with something and play.
  13. Gunthar I really hate you...My wife probably will too. I've been watching airsoft battle videos for the past couple hours. I must say though, its amazing how many of these players look like theyve never fired a real gun before just by the way they hold the guns. I wouldnt be surprised if I buy a setup lol.
  14. Well at that point I could see me arguing with some guy that his "SPAS-12 stick gun" doesnt have a 200 yard range with buckshot and telling him my dad could totally kick his dad's ass. Sorry if this is sarcastically mean, I've just always been curious about this and airsoft.
  15. Out of curiosity gunthar, does this airsoft thing involve the type of airsoft where you can actually here people shooting? Or is just the clicking sounds of the mechanics of the gun working. This would annoy the hell out of me.
  16. I have it, but haven't had a chance to boot it up yet. I'll be around tonight.
  17. I'm not sure if the boss would be on board for that sort of hobby. She already makes fun of me endlessly because I was sponsored by Worrgames at one point.
  18. Oh and they give you a free beer and turkey leg after you finish.
  19. Oh I got completely annihilated immediately after.
