Hey T it's always great to have you in game and that you can manage any ArmA time at all is amazing. Hope the 'new kid' is feeling better and we look forward to seeing you whenever it works out. ".... baked potato with Chilli...." ...lol See ya next time,
-
Durka you need to run the executable that is in the 'beta' folder as opposed to the one in the ArmA root. My shortcut target path: "C:\Program Files\Atari\ArmA\beta\arma.exe" -nosplash -mod=beta;@ACE;@SIX_BC;@Mapfact_EU;@mapfact;DBE1;@opx;@aceip;@Sak Good luck and let me know if you need anything. ps Oops, Morgan posted while I was typing but it is the beta path that's the issue. Root executable = 1.14 Beta executable = 1.16

Some of those look amazing Zebb. We're right at the threshold of doing a new 'All-in-One' (and/or an incremental) so if there's some things we'd like to add there's no time like the present. Good stuff.
-
Durka just grab me anytime and I'll be glad to help get you sorted. The link Zebb provided (All-in-One) is the place to start. There have been a couple minor additions since then but you'll be good to go in no time. Any questions just ask. Hope to see you soon.

Zebb's right about 'freelook'. I just posted the TIR stuff because it was attached to recent ArmA II footage..

Dslyecxi is involved with ArmA II beta testing (also an A.C.E. tester) and managed to capture some footage while talking up (and demonstrating) the benefit of using a TrackIR in ArmA. Teaser Demo The ability to look in a direction you are not facing can not be overstated.

Well that is good news. Thanks for the quick feedback and I'll catch up with you later.

I'm very interested in this situation Custard. Would you please let us know if the issue, reportedly with the ATI GPUs , has been remedied by this patch? Thanks,
-
Hope it's as good as it sounds and thanks to all for being patient for a couple days while the initial feedback was monitored. As mentioned I would recommend making a copy of the existing 'beta' folder in the ArmA root prior to running the 1.16 patch. In the unlikely event we needed to revert the servers to 1.15 having a backup copy of this folder would make that process smooth and easy. See you there. Cheers,

As of this morning both ArmA servers 3 and 4 have been updated to BIS version 1.16 Beta. This is now the baseline requirement for these servers (along with the A.C.E. mod set). Note: This patch over writes the 'beta' folder in your ArmA root directory. Ideally you should make a backup of the existing beta folder prior to updating. 1.16 Beta Patch If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. Enjoy,

ArmA servers 3 and 4 are now currently running at 1.16 beta. See new thread: Link Enjoy,

Looks like a hoot Athlon. Glad you had a great time.

Glad you enjoyed it Custard. I hope everyone else did as well. I'm also glad you pointed out that the rules are there to enhance the immersion and run effiiciently and for no other reason. If comms start buzzing with chit chat then people are processing that instead of paying attention...will never work. That particular night was more of an orientation for players not familiar with A.C.E. and/or new to ArmA. Next time will be different as will the time after that. Each run is unique and things may be happening for reasons that are not immediately obvious.....there is however a plan...lol Great night and hope there's many more to come. Cheers

Embassy of the United States -> Mexico Citizens Consular Service Warden Message Update on Flu Outbreak in Mexico: "The U.S. Embassy in Mexico Suspends all Visa and Non-Emergency American Citizen Services for the Week of April 27 ? 30, 2009"

A.C.E. team is actively testing compatibility so I'd suggest giving them a few days. From what I've read so far the OPFOR AI are significantly tougher but as of now it's unconfirmed reports....I hope it's true. . . . Another reason not to rush into this: From the 'Readme'....There is no way to uninstall the patch, in order to get back to previous version you need to uninstall ArmA

I'm moving to 64 bit as well so we'll get this up as soon as we're comfortable. Won't be long...

Nice Dai, Lots of good fixes. We'll review it, give the early adopters some time to report back and then move to it. As long as it plays nice with A.C.E. I doubt there will be much delay. Cheers, ps...We will give everyone advance notice before any server changes are made so please hold at current ArmA release (1.15) for a bit longer.
