evilducky
Cool video there. One small thing though. They were saying that he was carrying a Scar H but had the picture of a Scar L.
NoScream~SPARTA~
If you listen again he DOES NOT SAY it's a SCAR H http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FN_SCAR But to me, it clearly looks like a FN SCAR H & NOT a SCAR L But does it really matter anyway, it's only a game. I think you've been playing too much Arma.
evilducky
Actually I haven't played arma in awhile. You are right. He is carrying a Scar and they do mention that he is carrying a Scar H but the picture they have after that, the rotating gun, is a Scar L (starting at 1:40)... HAHA sorry. Your right. It doesn't really matter though. I cant wait for it! Woooo!
MedicSN6
Having shot both the SCAR H and the SCAR L (at a range, not in combat or anything) Both weapons are nearly identical except for their respective size, the H being the Heavy and larger version and the L being the Light and smaller version. Most of us know that the SCAR L shoots 5.56 NATO rounds and the Heavy is the 7.62 NATO variant. As the SCAR L uses the 5.56 NATO round, it is very common to see a 30 round magazine in use by military personnel as it is a round count advantage against an enemy who primarily uses the AK variant 7.62 caliber ammunition. The 7.62 non-MG weapons used by U.S. forces tend to only use 20 round magazines as the extra 10 rounds create more of a hindrance weight wise. If we take a base SCAR H which is a heavy weapon to begin with, add an optic such as an ACOG, a IR laser combo, a light for clearing buildings, backup iron sights in case the primary optic fails, possibly a magnifier for not magnified optics like the eotech or aimpoint, the weapon becomes extremely heavy. Adding another ten rounds to an already heavy magazine is a no-go. In summation, It is a SCAR H.
