Athlon64~SPARTA~
He set up the cargo airpots at Alexandria, Cairo Egypt, to help chase Rommal out of north africa. Later after the war, those airports were rebuilt into the passenger airports still used today. After the war he was hired buy Pan America airways and was its first sales manager. He was named Admiral of the flagship fleet for Pann AMM airways. He stayed in the army airforce in the reserves and made full Bird Colonel untill korea came along. He then retired from the reserves. Athlon64~SPARTA~
One of my friends dad was not far from the flagg raiseing on Ewo Jima and was on mount sarabachi! And he could tell you some hair raseing stories about the night attacks buy the japs on those islands, He was at guadacanal and tiwoa as well. He said he spent all night long feeding ammo belts in a Browning .30 Hair raseing scary stuff to hear thousands of screaming japs attacking!! He said he had nighmares for years after that. The Marines lost 4,000 and they wiped out 10,000 or so on that island. Edited March 19, 2010 by Athlon64~SPARTA~
