Zeno~SPARTA~
I have installed win 7 64 bit on my striker extreme with 4 gig of ram and an OCZ SSD. I get these occasional BSODs out of the blue even when the system isnt doing anything. My Vista and XP installs on the same machine (on seperate hard drives are very stable. Any ideas. Krambo
is there any info in the event viewer? in admin tools?
MedicSN6
is there any info in the event viewer? in admin tools? Yes, check the above and have your PSU tested. If that is good, then an internal power error could mean that your mobo is surging power to either the CPU, RAM, or a bridge, or a combination of components subsequently causing the BSODs. I hope you figure this one out quickly.
Athlon64~SPARTA~
Mine did that and it turned out to be the ram in the secondary slots. Rma-ed the ram and all is ok now. Edited January 29, 2010 by Athlon64~SPARTA~
Zeno~SPARTA~
The same mobo and ram work perfectly when I boot from XP or Vista I will check the admin tools. The errors appear to be linked to AVG - avgrssta.dll

I was just researching this and found that Norton 360 and AVG have been found to create random BSODs in W7. Excellent work Dr. Holmes.
