M107 Range Card

Everyone loves sniping at one time or another. However, there's nothing more satisfying than firing a single shot from over 1200m away and nailing the target. For those who have the GMJ Sight Adjustment mod, this is very much possible.

The M107, chambered in .50 cal, is the only sniper rifle with enough range and power to ensure a one-shot kill on impact with an enemy, nearly no matter where the point of impact is.

EDIT: Okay, since it's been confirmed the range card actually does go out to 1400m, new goal: Add ranges beyond 1400m, and add in adjustments for 25m increments.

Range: MOA

Red = Included with the mod

Dark Green = Calculated (Untested)

Orange = Ranged (Need field test)

Blue = Confirmed (Field-tested)

I've experimented with the M107 on the public server, and I've written down the approximate MOA adjustments for the M107 out to 1500m. The M107, being a .50 cal, is the only sniper rifle with enough range and caliber to ensure a one-shot kill on impact with an enemy, nearly no matter where the point of impact is.

The M107 range card that is included with the mod ranges out to 900m, so my list will begin beyond it. Keep in mind these are approximate adjustments for the approximate range.

Range: MOA

950m: +18.5

1000m: +19

1050m: +21

1075m: +22.5

1100m: +24

1125m: +25.5

1150m: +27

1175m: +28.5

1200m: +30

1225m: +31.5

1250m: +33

1275m: +34.5

1300m: +36

1325m: +37.5

1350m: +39

1375m: +40.5

1400m: +42

1425m: +43.5

1450m: +47

1475m: +48.5

1500m: +50

IT'S IN LIST JUST TAP ON THE RANGES AND PRESS DOWN KEY PAD IT WILL SHOW UP TO 1400 I THINK.

YOU NEED ALSO TO ADJUST THE MOA LIST AND TAKE IT DOWN ALSO SO IT WILL MATCH.

Remember to work in teams. Use a Spotter to carry extra ammo for the 107 along with the Laser Designator and a couple batteries (Dont forget a primary weapon and some frags). The spotter can call out targets and range them for you and also defend you at close range if the enemy begin to close in, which they will.

Keep in mind that the laser designator red dot should show on the map for all to see (ARMA1 at least) so you can use that as a marker if compass bearing and building/land features dont work to locate the enemy. Communication is the key.

Good hunting.

And very underpowered. With ACE2, there's the M4 Shortdot SD for spotter use. Plus a lot of new rifles for the sniper. And the inclusion of a range card for each, and wind, and a wind meter (old-fashioned and electronic), and no spacebar ranging without the laser range-finder, and...

Well, let's just say that I've wanted to try it all out with a human sniper/spotter. The vegetation on Namalsk is very well made for sneaking.

good info! Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought that the AI is triggered by having a laser designator on them? Or is that only enemy armor? Or am i miss informed?

cheers
