MedicSN6
new pcu record of 54,181 pilots reported by CCP Manifest | 2009.12.08 18:13:53 The weather outside is frightful as powerful solar winds buffet the battleworn armor of a Myrmidon aligning for warp. The fire so delightful of the Heavy Pulse Laser IIs as they carve through the hulls of Sansha's despicable followers. What really warms our hearts this time of year is the recent breaking of our all-time Peak Concurrent User Record. This past Sunday, 54,181 pilots were flying in New Eden, unfettered and unbound but by the limits of their own imagination and skill. Thank you all for flying with us. http://www.eveonline.com/news.asp?a=single...=3620&tid=1 Edited December 10, 2009 by Medic~SPARTA~

MedicSN6
Wonder how many of those are alts. Alts as in one of the three able to be created on the same account? or alts as in one player with multiple accounts? For the first, it shouldn't matter. This is accounts logged in at the same time, account alts would not be effected because you can only use one at a time. For the second, it doesn't matter either. An account is an account, no matter who owns it.
NoScream~SPARTA~
Does it matter? NO ... Why because every CHR: logged in is a real account, one account one pilot at one time. 50,000 users on one server cluster, I can't believe it's grown in 2 years from 30,000 to peaks of 50,000 with a mean of 40,000. Either way more targets.....
