Cent~SPARTA~
Now this may not be the most exciting thing for every one but..... After many attempts and many failures i have finally managed what i believe to be one of the hardest things to do in KSP. I play the modded Realistic solar system mod with the realistic progression career mod, these basically change the game from a play thing to a very relistic sim of 1946 - 1985 era space flight. You start with the German V2 - american A4 rocket and build up to Apollo and beyond. Now many people say "its not rocket science" but let me tell you -- its bloody difficult just getting off the pad in this game never mind the real tricky stuff!! But any way enough back story -- I have finally managed to launch a Agena target vehicle to an altitude of 200 km, then 1 day later a Gemini pod carrying 2 astronauts to the same altitude and inclination. after 5 orbits i came within 10 m of the target, paused to make a coffee then proceeded to dock with the Agena. to make it clear i have spent the best part of two weeks trying to get this right, last night i came the closest i ever had before -- 4 m from the Agena then ran out of fuel RCS fuel. these missions take 90 - 120 minutes of real time so i only normally get one chance per session! Cent~SPARTA~
Zeno - If the game is purchased through steam the older versions are available to download in the Beta section of the game properties tab within the game library. You can create a "clean copy" of KSP 1.2.2 and install the realism suite of mods through CKan. Next time you are on we can discuss if you like.
