  1. Looks cool. Yeah the Unity3D source lock is a massive deterrant, and for $1,000 for each developer but we get to distribute the copies freely makes the most sense to me. T3D's shader setups with the precipitation video on vimeo looked good, and would like to extend a graphical likeness to a dark homage in a Forgotten Realms setting if we can just get Atari to give us licenced Intellectual property use.
  2. I couldn't fit a graphics card into that server anyways. The intake would actually face against the board unfortunately.
  3. 8800 GT here until the new nV lineup comes out, haven't had a single issue, running everything on highest with 75% drawing distance @ 31 FPS avg in A2.
  4. I bought the i920 (There's no need to waste money on the other chip variants) to OC to 4.2 stable, 12GB DDR3 XMMS, and originally purchased an Asus P6T but after the first RMA because it wouldn't post past 8GB, and the second RMA due to a DOA, I ditched Asus for the eVGA X58 SLI board which has ran rock solid. I haven't had a good experience yet with SSD (yes, I avoided JMicron/Intel controllers), so I raided two 1TB drives together and put Arma into a virtual ramdisk with about 3GB left to spare. Running Win7 64bit Ultimate stable for about 1 week now, and map loading sure is instantaneous for Arma. ;)
  5. I almost feel compelled to put a graphics card in my R610 and curb stomp these scores. ;)
  6. Looks cool, I could certainly use alot of 2k8 R2 copies and a full .net studio. Nice to see someone else using T3D for their 3D projects, I'm in the middle of an MMO preliminaries and we're weighing in Unity3D, T3D, and proprietary (UT3 / IdT5).
  7. Here's a quick question for you, what's the hardware and connection running the Arma II server? I've got a Dell R610 with 42GB of ram running in it, dual Xeon 5570 procs, connected to a full 1gbit burst network spanning 11 ISPs that is running underutilized. Is there something I can do to help? I suppose I should chime in that I'm willing to host one of the Sparta Arma II Domi public servers (such as public east?) freely just so that I don't have to watch black hawks do mid-air cartwheels when the server is filled up. If you need to know the network, goto http://www.speedtest.net and run a test to Columbus, Ohio (Datacenter.bz) is the actual datacenter I'm in.
