  1. The problem we have here is one of SPARTA's definition of a public server (This is not counting the issue of my original post). As far as I see it, this is OUR server, be it open to the public or not, and people use it in sufferance to OUR rules and regulations. Personally, I would prefer it if ALL enemy vehicles and assets were locked to Bluefor. There was a no parachute zone in an active AO. And a 5 minute delay before parajumps in general are enabled when a new AO appears. There will always be things that annoy us on an open server such as the fact that whenever I join a game in progress I tend to kit up and parajump into an unpopulated (by Bluefor) area and go sneaky beaky to get bases or assets (unless requested by a SPARTA person to join X squad etc). Invariably, after 10 mins of sneaking around and marking targets on the map, or sniping a path through to a base, some numpty will just Parajump in ahead of me or right on top of me and spoil the whole show. c'est la vie. But certain things, such as exploits, expected level of behavior and TS rules etc should be prosecuted with vigour because if WE give out mixed messages then people cannot be blamed if they step out of line.
  2. I really don't see why everyone has such an itch to use airborne assets in Tac Dom night. Go play on the damn Air Dom server if you really NEED to fly and leave us alone to play the way we want to play it. Sorry to sound so negative but this damn argument goes around and around, dies down for a while and then up it comes again like a bad smell.

  4. I have tested this so I can confirm it works. If you want to change your Multiplayer name simply rename your profile folder. Example, mine is C:\Users\Dai-San\Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles\Dai-San~SPARTA~ If I wanted to remove the ~SPARTA~ bit I would just rename the whole folder to C:\Users\Dai-San\Documents\My Games\Crysis\Profiles\Dai-San Simplez
  5. I think you may just be having trouble coming to terms with the game Ath. You need to shift your mind set. These are BattleMechs, they weigh 100's of tons, they are not going to stop on a dime or turn easily. You need to slow down to turn faster and lighter Mechs will always run rings around you. It's a trade off, light and manoeuvrable but with a light punch, or Heavy and cumbersome but with a killer kick. Finding the right Mech for you is what made the Mechwarrior series such fun. If or when they implement the Mechbay, where you could create your own loadout for your Mech then this will be even more fun. I do agree with you on the hanging up on a tree stump though, this is an annoyance that needs to be addressed.
  6. It was a lot better tonight from my point of view, yes we did get bogged down a few times when we should have been moving but everyone has an off night T. I think I have finally got to grips with ranging and marking the map, both targets I marked tonight were pretty close. We still have a bit of a problem with people joining. Not meaning to be funny but people should know what they need to have installed by now and it delays the start when people need advice on game night. Please get stuff sorted and tested BEFORE the event guys. All in all a very enjoyable evening. Good job everyone involved.
  7. Wrong. You should have a Mods folder in the root and the MWLL folder in the Mods folder.

  10. Correct Halli, MHQ is fair game as it is mobile and if you don't want it destroyed then protect it.
  11. Great stuff This wasn't a criticism of the MOD Kal, it's fantastic work, It was trying to lay down some ground rules regarding what is acceptable when a bug/exploit is found. Just because it's there doesn't mean we have to use it. Hell, most full price games are riddled with bugs so keep up the good work.

  13. Now we are all grown ups here (hopefully) so let's address a little issue. At the moment there is a bug in the Opfor Commander version of Tacdom that lets an opfor member spawn at the Blue base. This is a BUG and as we are all adults and supposed to play with some honour I for one do not expect to join a game as blue, go into the flag base, start kitting up and have an opfor member put a gun in my ear and cap me. Also spawning at the blue base and stealing helicopters etc is not acceptable either. If I see it, or it happens to me again I WILL kick and ban the offending player and then speak to other members about lifting the ban or not. Please follow Luggages lead on this, he spawned at Blue, stated this was a bug in TS and Game Chat and patiently say by the flag while the game sorted itself out causing no problems. This is the mature attitude I expect from anyone that plays on the SPARTA server. Cheers.
  14. That got me too Back all the way out and hit register again and fill it all in in one hit, I got something wrong on the first entry and then no matter how many times I filled the incorrect details in it wouldn't go through.

  17. That was me, but in my next post I said that it was bum info from a tech thread. Patch 1.2.1 is required and it does work on Windows 7 64bit but some people are having problems with Crysis once 1.2.1 is installed. As yet I don't know whether this is a video driver problem or some other incompatibility problem as for some people it's OK and others (like Haloelite) are having problems.
  18. 1: Un Install Crysis 2: Re Install Crysis and check it ALL works, SP & MP 3: Patch to 1.2 and check it ALL works, SP & MP 4: Patch to 1.2.1 5: Delete the Shaders folder in your My Games\Crysis folder 6: Install the MWLL Mod Try following some of the tips Here
  19. What have you patched Crysis up to? If I remember rightly the 1.2.1 patch is for 32bit only.
