Pringle~SPARTA~
For the regulars... What say you on making this one a bit more cooperative? For example... a developed spawn area, map-wide public roads/rail tunnels. Maybe even designated "neighborhoods"? The last map to me seemed a bit chaotic... KalXen~SPARTA~
I like it. In fact, I'd love for us to pick a town to build - like go into google maps, find some place on the world, and build it. Or, I'd even be up for building something epic, like Waterdeep in Forgotten Realms. We might want to make it a creative map, so that we can build it right. Pringle~SPARTA~
Yes, creative would definitely be essential in something like that. Waterdeep certainly classifies as Epic for sure..
Steel~Sparta~
creative mode has no survival asspect to it. what is the challenge if you get everything for free. and can fly coop in survival mode that is the way to go Edited September 15, 2011 by Steel~Sparta~
KalXen~SPARTA~
Just found out that you can do both.. Apprently a op can do "/gamemode 0/1" and flip a user from createive to SMP on the fly. I just set up the test 1.8 server as SMP, and put myself into creative.. Very interesting concept actually.
Sarrok
http://www.candlekeep.com/downloads/ez_waterdeep.zip Extremely detailed map of Waterdeep in Adobe .PDF format. About 5.6 MB zip file
KalXen~SPARTA~
Thanks for the map Sarrok! OK, with Dynmap up and working now on the server (http://minecraft.legionofsparta.net:2402/), we can start to see it pan out. Some textures are not supported yet (new blocks), so a few things will look invisible. But we can still see the overall world area. I started to place red blocks down on the ground to mark the outer boundary of the city. I'm thinking it might grow larger than it to accommodate the top side of the city better.
