Coat Hangars Sound As Good As Monster Cables So please, the next time you or a loved one stand in Best Buy or some other electronic store, thinking about buying a Monster cable product--don't. Instead, go to Monoprice, and get that $80 cable for $3.75. Long live Monoprice! Athlon64~SPARTA~ Posted December 20, 2010 Share Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) I think they started in early with the thumping stereo craze cables,You know stuffing 50lbs of crap into a 1 lb bag, little honda car with all the sub woofer and amps in the back. Makeing all that noise that can be heard 1 mile away. I think monster started with all the gold plated low loss audio cables, then progressed into the video side of it. I think they tryed to corner the market on dvi and hdmi. When we saw the insane prices on that stuff, we went to radio shack and got them at a fraction of BEST BUYS prices.
