Ebden~SPARTA~
Any alternatives now that Dai-San has brought at least a couple more to the space shooter world? I don't mean Eve, but along the lines of Freespace 2. Any thoughts on the following titles? Shattered Horizon It's like ARMA in Space! Not a spaceship pilot game, but interesting. Jumpgate Evolution Vega Strike Coming up dreadfully short on the pilot/spaceshooter genre after FS2/freelancer. Other ideas?
MedicSN6
Been waiting for JG:E for a while now. It looks very promising.
DaiSan
Any thoughts on the following titles? Shattered Horizon It's like ARMA in Space! Not a spaceship pilot game, but interesting. Jumpgate Evolution Vega Strike Shattered Horizon - Bought it through STEAM on a special after someone mentioned it. It's crap. Jumpgate Evolution - Hmmm, not sure about this one. I took part in the original Jumpgate Alpha and Beta testing and it would have to have improved greatly for me to shell out on it. Vega Strike - Again, not too sure. Tachyon - The Fringe was OK in SP I suppose but the MP was deathmatch or Base wars only, no Co-op.
Ebden~SPARTA~
Looks like Jumpgate evolution is the only contender. I stuck my name on their UK beta test list-who knows how long that'll be until ready. Shattered Horizon-free this weekend on steam. Does that change it's suckyness? Clearly the current FPS genre is inspired by current events (wars). Was the quality of space shooters late 90s, early 00 riding on a star trek/star wars fan base, or the Int'l space station, mission to mars, etc?
