CoBoL~SPARTA~
Last night a few of us played and found the game to go really slow. So I found a performace test for the game and went to work. Now I am not sure what a good result is and the diffreance between all the results are minnimal. Example : FA 2560x1600 High, MC CPU NO 18419 FA 2560x1600 High, MC CPU YES 18444 FA 1920x1200 High, MC CPU YES 18576 FA 1920x1200 Med , MC CPU NO 18625 FA 1920x1200 Med , MC CPU YES 18706 SC 2560x1600 High, MC CPU NO 18079 SC 2560x1600 High, MC CPU YES 18106 SC 1920x1200 High, MC CPU YES 18152 SC 1920x1200 Med , MC CPU NO 18404 SC 1920x1200 Med , MC CPU YES 18459 Ok all results are in the 18000 range, there is a slight increase when changing res. Also found a slight increase in performance in version of the game. On the test my FPS was set 60 const (vsync enabled), so I don't think its a GFX issue. More the bottle neck on CPU but when I run the test my CPU (all cores) never got above 12%. So maybe could be network performace to cause the game to go slow. Or I guess the game may go as fast as the slowest person. Think a test between maybe me and Viii with lots of units to test the theory, build 1000 planes each and let em meet. To test this yourself copy your exsiting shortcut and the ARG /map perftest Mine Reads "E:\GAMES\SC\Supreme Commander\bin\SupremeCommander.exe" /map perftest "E:\GAMES\SC\Supreme Commander - Forged Alliance\bin\ForgedAlliance.exe" /map perftest
