  1. i dont see it being to restricted , once i got a normal load out m4 with say 12 clips and smaw with 4 rounds, plus the radio it wasnt an issue, maybe it was different with ace 1.... i could sprint 150m before needing a small break which is great for fire and move tactics i think having no weight restriction would be unrealistic because you could carry smaw , 10 smaw rounds m240 with rounds 10 satchels 10 gren on and on..... so 1000m sprints from mhq to ao isnt gonna happen anymore this might actually be a good excuse to actually have an apc doing transport from mhq or heli into combat zone
  2. i was swearing up and down saying my guy needed to quit smoking:) btw with sniping they actually created the wind affect its amazing, and after lots of figuring out it felt so realistic getting into position with sniper dialing in the range,, adjusting the wind dial and boom ... its hard to see if you missed to for tac i could actually see a 2 man team spotter/sniper being used =very cool
  3. played this all day yesterday got alot of hours in with halo,, really well thought out mod alot of features that i didnt see posted anywere that i think you guys will like,,, for instance the sniper ability of measureing wind and having the range card only works if your in the sniper position,,, the arty officer has to have the radio to call in arty and do rescue, which the radio is really heavy and restricts your load out... the whole ruc sak sys seams rediculous at first being u can carry tons of shit but the more you weigh the faster you tire out aka get winded from running,, example is last night i had a m240 mg, smaw and satchels with lots of ammo, but i copuldnt run more then 50 m without getting winded and once winded it was hard to recover.. i then relized i was about 140 kg on the load out and it was way to much.. the rework on armour is really something to check out... and most importantly i normally get a crash few times a day, with ace i havnt had one crash
  4. incase anyone alrdy updated ace to 184 i found rolling back was quite easy , just need the original ace zips and copy and paste... which makes me wonder y manual install was so confusing? and if you used rsync which is the six updater or yuma addon sync just take the @rsync perimters out of game launch on my original install i was missing something, but i did the rsync thing and it went away... i just did a roll back to 182 and no problems so its not a version error just an install error
  5. yea sorry i couldnt figure out how to install it manually, and i havnt found any that has either i can tell you i got the @ace @acex in my main folder but my launcher shows this @ace\.rsync\.pack;@ace;@acex\.rsync\.pack;@acex;@cba\.rsync\.pack;@cba; i have the autoconfig folder in my @ace folder and in the main directery hope that helps
  6. yuma addon sync http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=5059 add kelyes heroes server to your favs clcik on that server hit the server tab and you will find auto config url add this line http://www.kellys-heroes.eu/updater/ArmA2A...rmA2ACE-Repo.7z now click on that server and you will see check addons, then it will gove you a list of addons u need to get into that server and below d/l addons.... good thing is zeno if you installed stuff correctly it wont make you d/l everything.. and when theres an update you will only have to d/l those updated files.. which tell me that would be a great progy for you fellas for future mods so you dont have to hold peeps hands as much btw that d/l automaticly make the folders for you and installs
  7. simple workaround to the updates is yuma addon manager, this progy really is sweat,, for a test server you could just update newer versions once every 2 weeks or so.... im jonsing i got to play on crappy none sparta severs to play this auwsome mod:(
  8. yea problem with that is where do some of the files go its a mystery!!! i was just turned on to yoma addon synce and d/ling and installing through that ftw thanks to direwolf http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=8219 dont waist your time with anything else..
  9. yea staight d/l but were do the config files go? and ive tried there instaler tool i think u got to be a coder to figure that out...

  11. interesting feature i dont see how usefull it is though, ive never run out of fuel with helo or jet, unless they changed the amount of fuel the jets use...

    yea affirmative on a10 never noticed because we never use it, its the helos and vehicle tracks that are still stock and need improvement, so here is a the post in the official forums from the guy who made vop sounds recommending to also use 2 other sound mods with it... but like i said before it maybe easier to check out sounds of war because it all comes in one package from what i hear....

    yea its installed correctly,if it changes any vehicles i havnt noticed,except for the guns of course. if you look at the vop post on the forums you see theres 2 extra addons for tracked vehicles and helos y on earth havnt they combined the extra 2 addons to vop is beyond me

    one way or another i would love to get new sounds for choppers and tanks, vop only changes the gun sounds on armour, so im requesting either the extra addons for vop sounds or ive heard alot of good thing about sounds of war mod:)

  18. i have artifact issues myself, wierd thing is i barley ever get them once i get the view distance from default 1500 on your server to 6k..
  19. when you upgraded to windows 7 64 did you come from xp 32 or vista 32? if so you may actually have to try a repair or reinstall of arma
  20. i have xp but im pretty sure you right click on the executible and under propertys somewhere in there should be the option.... i see you have quad core is that 4 cores and 4 virtual?, the way your restricting cores in the executable could be screwing it up try taking that out for now... edit oops,i see you found compatibility mode.. this has helped alot of people in the past, and games like this your really do run better that way anyways..
  21. ive heard there been alot of problems with the 64 bit try running in compatibility mode xp...
  22. interface res shows windowed on yours, i had alot of crashes until i made interface and 3d the same..... also find out what you native res is on your card and play with that..
