  1. To use the Streamdeck in DCS you need to install the addon into streamdeck to allow talking to DCS and install the export script into DCS

  2. Very cool, looking forward to the Apache coming, and the improvments in the thermal imaging and ground unit improvments that should come with it.

F15 will be cool and a twin seater, hopefully will be multi crew ive herd that it wount have an AI rear seater as everything can be done from the frount.

Will be cool for expantions of the Channel map, i saw a bit of speculation of replacing the normany and channel maps with a larger western europe map. Would probs make sense if they did that and then had a new things to sell instead of just updating current maps.

There was footage of the faklands which seems intresting but im not that excited by it currently.

an afgan Map would be cool also some people speculating it was a teaser for C-130 as the google maps of the airbase had a bunch on the pan.

should be an intresting time ahead.

  3. Rockets have been added to the mozzy now on the lastest patch.

can have up to 8 rockets total. mounted to the under side of the wings 4 on each side. I belive if you only mount 4 rockets total 2 per side you can have fuel tanks as well. you can all ways have bombs in the bay still.

there is a new switch just behind the throttle to arm the rockets and to the rear of that a box that shows the selected postion and you can manualy cycle through them. They launch in pairs by default using a new trigger you have to bind.  there is also a salvo switch to the left of the gun site that will lauch all rockets at once if turnt on.

Hopefully these will be easyer to aim accuretly than the bombs!

  4. So me and Zeno have been been working on self Lazing, buddy lazing an AI JTAC Lazing.

So far been using Harrier AV8B mainly.

    With 3 weapons:

Laser Mavs (E 3rd party laser E2/L self and 3rd party laser)

APKWS Rockets Laser rockets (these are good fun and easy to use as you  pritty much fire them in the direction dont require you to lock on or any thing)

    GBU Laser bombs

    3 methods of targeting:

    Targeting POD and self lazing,

Fire weapons in correct direction and they auto guide to 3rd party laser (APKWS and GBU only)

Use LST sensor on Harrier to lock on 3rd party laser

For the 3rd party laser sources had sucess using:

Another Harrier using targeting pod. works well but differcult to maintain an orbit and maintain target look with out obsuring.

Human controled ground vehicle, works very well had some issuse with laser hiting the fence at the air feild we are testing at.

AI vehicle JATAC. is very tempermental in getting it to use the laser will some times just spot the target. i have a feeling it might be to do with the fence blocking the laser so it thinks it cant use it.

AI reaper drone JATAC. was a bit hit and miss at first having tried it localy but played around and when puting the drone at a 25k feet it was working well. but when had it at lower Alts wasnt all ways useing the laser. making me think if it desided it cant maintain using the laser it wount use it.

currently trying to get differnt aircraft types to carry out the lasing.

I guess a really good trackir or other eye tracker would make getting a good reference for landing much easier, I know I need something like it for Star Citizen

if you have a webcam (or it even works with a phone) i have had joy with some softwares called opentrack and AI track (i did a post with links) i think it would also work with star cit

  6. set up head tracking a little while ago using a web cam these two peices of softwere, its been working quite well so far so worth giving ago if you dont have any track IR for head tracking. there guides on set up and install in the git hubs but basicly the "AITrack" looks at your web cam and captures your face. then "open track" takes that plot and put it into a format like irtrack or free track or a joystick input.
