    Wireless NIC

    So, I'm in the market for a wireless network card. At least I'm assuming that a PCI expansion card is "better" than the USB devices. Does anyone have experience with these or have any suggestions/advice to offer?

    Does anyone know if its possible to have the laser designator's battery take an "equipment" slot in your inventory, instead of a "magazine" slot? I doubt I'm the first to find it very inconvenient for a 9 volt battery to take away from how much ammo I can carry. <_>

    John I'll donate to a server after the 15th .

     

    Goes for all that play this game or will... We need to step up and help as the Main Group pays $4000.00usd per annum so it may not be in it's budget but we can get a SPARTA BFBC2 server if we work together.

     

    Downloading the patch now and will be playing within the hour.

     

    I'll pitch in. Downloading the game via Steam as I type, fully intend on jumping on for a bit this evening.

    You guys are missing the point. ArmA 2 is not a combat flight simulator of any kind. It is an FPS simulator. Therefore creating a air only map will miss the whole point of the game, which is, in my opinion, bashing Ao's with infantry tactically.

     

    I'm not sure I agree with that statement. I think Arma 2 can and will be whatever you want it to be. Whatever you make it to be.

    Not trying to insult your intelligence here, but I've learned when trying to help someone, you never assume anything. Just double checking these are the steps you took:

    1.) Plug in headset

    2.) Change Windows default output back to your speakers

    3.) Change TS3 output device to your headset

     

    But still no dice?

    Haven't tested this, but in theory:

    1.) Leave your default Windows output device to your speakers

    2.) In TS go to Settings -> Options -> Playback Tab and set the Playback Device to your headest.

    Channel chat rooms (wich is nice if you want to paste a link) has a mic open / close sound kinda like vent has and if you have a G15 keyboard, the display addon is really nice

     

    Agreed. If you're a G15 owner, definitely make sure to enable the built-in G15 plugin (Settings -> Plugins). Very well done, in my opinion. Even has the admin functions right there so you don't have to tab out of the game to deal with an issue.

    Is it possible to prevent AI from occupying these spots all together? Seems to be the obvious question that undoubtly has been contemplated before on an individual basis, but perhaps the great minds of Sparta can collaborate to a solution? =)

    Alright, so as the title suggests, I cannot connect to the US Domination server. I've tried everything I could imagine to attempt to remedy the situation, but nothing seems to be doing the trick.

     

    I've restarted the game, restarted my computer, and deleted the mission file out of my temp files.

     

    So far I've made it to three different "stages" of connecting. First stage being I get stuck at the initial "Wait for host" screen. Second stage is I'm able to get into the server, select my role, download the mission file, but get stuck at the "Receiving data" dialog. Third stage is I get to the first person view from my character, but the role selection screen is still active, and also still stuck at the "Receiving data" dialog.

     

    If that wasn't enough to stump me enough already, I'm able to join the UK Domination server perfectly fine (both running BIGdom N.4).

     

    Any ideas?
