  1. For a while now I haven't been able to watch any vids, YouTube or other, on my HTC. Happens on any site / forum I visit.

I don't recall deliberately doing anything and I've spent ages in every setup page trying to spot something obvious but haven't.

When I hit the play button I usually get the buffering notification for a second or two then it just defaults to the typical end of video state you get.

    Any ideas?

Forgot to say, it's a HTC One S running Android 4.1.1

Also, checked wife's phone, same model & software and it's happening on that too.

  2. Ok, funds are in and I can stretch up to $75, which gives me a choice from:

Aurora - up to the LN model

    300 - up to the 315P

    Avenger

I like the looks of the Avenger but I'm not the best 'dogfighter' so don't know if an out & out fighter is right. What would you 'seasoned spacemen' suggest?

    Thanks, Watchy

Just got my gold 5s w/matching headphones to replace my 4s in the other day... LOVE it.

Come at me android fanboys :gun:, you're rocking a STOLEN os paid for in billions of dollars in nickels, lol google that shit

You say that like I could give a shit. I wouldn't care if it was paid for with the tears of angels, it's a phone that works and that I don't have to pay for the privilege to own.

For me that's the iPhone's biggest problem in the UK, you have to pay a fee on top of your tariff to get one, don't do that with an android.

I've had 2 iPhone's as work phones and they've both had small issues, I'm on my third android and they've been trouble free.

Who knows, if iPhone's lose the fee and the 'look at me I'm an iTwat' image, I might try one when my contracts up........

  4. OK I think I get it, you are saying that using a budget of 500 every six years you can keep up with or outperform consoles as well as play the latest pc games, by updating the PC you have.

Yes, that's it. There will obviously come a point where a total rebuild happens (my last one was 6 years ago) but in principle steady upgrades will do. Given that newer games push the graphic capacity of your pc, you could even say that's all you need to change.

I appreciate this is a very simplistic approach but it's working for me.

I expect I'll go through a major change within the next 12-18 months, with mobo & cpu. Maybe new ram if my current isn't compatible. However, as I'm not brand loyal and cash is king, I'll likely go with AMD 8 core and save a packet over an i7.
