Zathrus~SPARTA~
On the early morning hours of Jan 3, 2017 The Western USA, Canada, all of Asia and eastern Africa, there is the potential for a spectacular meteor shower. The Quadrantid Meteor shower is us passing through a stream of debris from a shattered comet. It typically only lasts 2 to 3 hours. This shower while brief often produces 100 or more meteors per hour. It should peak around 6am PST (1400 UTC) Note this will be during full daylight for most of western Europe and eastern USA, Canada.... which means you don't have to stay up all night either... you can just get up very early here in the western US & Canada. more information at this video http://www.space.com/35193-quadrantid-shattered-comet-meteors-will-rain-in-new-year-video.html Edited January 1, 2017 by Zathrus~SPARTA~
