Anyone know where I can get a cheap (~$100 or less) SAS controller that will do the job? I found this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16816115094 However, it's only got 4xSATA ports on it, and the SAS HDD uses a 29pin SAS connector. I think this can be converted to a 2x SATA and 1x Power cable via an adapter, but can such an adapter be used with the above controller card? So for those interested, if you run across a SAS drive in the future, the aforementioned cable + controller are a fairly cheap solution (compared to the $400+ controllers) Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
