  1. Ok, Mr Vii... THANKS for introducing me to that WilsonTech guy !!!

I cryed laughing while watching that video.. and I am gonna watch the rest of his stuff !! hehehahehe he is too funny !

For what i am concerned about the new HTC, lol.. as Wilson explained, that is an ATT limitation for the LTE internet which seems is not working too friendly with quadcores at the moment...

I am with my SGS2 in a contract with Sprint, so I have no issues or doubt.. I still love my phone and waiting for the ICS upgrade ;)

When i will be able i ll keep my eyes on SGS3 :)

  2. That is a very good card, congrats.

Besides the fact you may want to go water for your CPU, evaluate the fact that on newer tech, with last generation cards, you may have your bottleneck on your CPU performances anyway, and Speed is not the only factor.

Sure it depends on what games are you going to play and how they will use resources, but actually Dual cores are getting short on delivery whenmatched with last gen Videocards.

GPU and CPU as you know work together anyway, therefore a sub-par CPU will pull the reins of your newer GPU. I am sure you will see improvement from your 8800, but what I am saying is that before handling GPU BIOS, going GPU OC and so on, you should put a comparable CPU to keep up the game rolling.

    My 2c...

  3. Do you think so?

Interesting.. Especially that shot where you see the missles flying, should be real.. I saw that same effect on one of the game action released videos, when they were launching missles.

That background seems the same they used for the demo videos as well, which instead lead me to think is the "only" available enviroment they have working so far.. I might be wrong..

Oh well.. In my opinion at least the job is ongoing, it seems a good job.. they are having press releases and comments.. and so far they didn t beg for money using Kickstart.... (did they?)

So I am still very interested on this and i hope will stand up to the expectations ;)

  4. I got FIOS recently, moving from a cable provider. My provider was brighthouse here in Florida.

I thhought I was happy with Brighthouse, I had them for very long time. I decided to switch because of serious issues on HD TV signal, which became too much.

I had brighthouse with 10 Down and 2 up. it was ok for me.

At the same price I got FIOS at 15 down and 5 up. However, FIOS consistently over deliver. My download is never lowere than 18-20, while up is consistent 5.

    FIOS HD is Superb.

The network hardware (wireless modem/router) and the DVR Box are Excellent pieces of hardware. There are features i never saw before and it took a bit to get used to the new toys.

Internet signal is faster. I gained at least 20 or 30 ms on the Sparta Arma UK Server, which is in my opinion a very good result, being overseas.

Never had a downtime in the last 6 month, since when I switched.

HDTV has great application for Android phone allowing you to completely control your box remotely. Internet website to control your recordings and channel lineup is clear and functional.

    I was seriously impressed.

I have been using Torrent but not on a heavy basis and I had no throttling or any kind of weird things.

  5. Sammy is kicking bad ass!

    Check this out:

    http://www.engadget.com/2012/04/25/samsung-announces-1-4ghz-exynos-4-quad-as-basis-for-galaxy-s3/

The new Exynos CPU and GPU is a total Monster. Galaxy S 3 could be public in May.

Once upon a time Apple was top with iPhone. Now their "innovation" is stagnant, protected by an electronic voice called SIRI, which is not even resident in the phone. You lose internet, bye-bye SIRI.

Retina display on 3.5"? It's so... obsolete :) Actually pushing all of that resolution on the iPad is not obsolete but quite useless anyway. especially for 9.something inches screen.

can t wait to see this new Sammy jewel around!

  6. I just saw this picture on Facebook few moments ago :)

I guess is a pic going around the Internet. If your friend is the owner, well, she has a gold mine in her hands !!

  7. Should you check this review to have a basic comparison between the newest cards avaialble?

    http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/36125-amd-radeon-hd-7870-hd-7850-graphics-cards/?page=6

Actually I would say the 69xx series is still very competitive. Almost the 6870 should be considered as competitive if you have a budget issue. Sure 6870 has lower performance but at $190

    http://hexus.net/tech/reviews/graphics/36125-amd-radeon-hd-7870-hd-7850-graphics-cards/?page=6

it may be a good solution, versus $250 for 7850

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814131464

or $250 for this 6950 which might be moddable to 6970 (check if is true)

    http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814102987

  8. I like the Note.. a lot.

I am actually stuck for 1,5 yr before i can upgrade to my next tho. I am lucky enough I got the SGS 2 whic is a wonderful phone and I love. it will be a top notch phone for the next year, but here tech is getting fast and being locked for 2 yrs on the same device is not exactly the best way to go.

However, i wonder if these stupid providers should review their policies. I thought the most important aspect of business was keeping money rolling, therefore they should be happy for me to change phone and give them more money at least once per year.

true, not everyone get so nuts for new tekkies, but they should give the option.. like... "buy it at $100 with 2 yrs contract OR at $150 for 1yr contract"

They would never 'lose" anyway.... and i guess i would be ok paying a bit more with the option to roll more often to newer tech :)

  9. yeah, I got an email from them, advertising the new site and some news...

As you can see the Kickstart campain is now becomming a common way to fund all of the most "incredible" projects.

They will kickstart funding as well. Definetely this new Business Model is working great.

Milking good faith gamers at 10 or 15 bucks each, they get "real" money while presenting very "unreal" project promises.

Be aware of this new business model. Possibly 1 in 100 can be a decent and respectable project, problem is.. how to discern which?

I think I ll stick with the good ol' school. If a game is produced, is because someone funded, someone invest their money and take their risks as entreprenours. Not begging for money on the Internet.

  10. Uaaaa !!!!!! LOOK AT THIS !!!!

    http://www.pcworld.com/article/254339/microsoft_skydrive_and_dropbox_prepare_for_cloud_feature_battle.html

Microsoft decreased the amount of free storage it will offer to new users, from 25 GB to 7 GB, but removed the previous 5 GB limit on desktop syncing. Existing users can hang onto their free 25 GB of storage--without limits on syncing--by logging into the Manage Storage page at SkyDrive.com.

    ARE YOU SERIOUS !!!!!!???????

Man.. a lot of ppl better start changing their MS opinion !

  11. Man!! Thanksso much for the headsup !!

I didn t know about this change and I ve been using it for ages :) I got there, there was a message on the main page, clicked and got my free 25GB back ;) lol..

Well I have to say, not happy they throttle down to 7GB for the newbies, but is still more competitive than Google and others offering 5GB only

I have to dig the new functionality better to see if anything changed.

On the "older" system the "Skydrive folder" that allows you to share your content - translated to iCloud to ppl that speaks Applish only - was 5GB only and 25GB as the whole storage. Now i wonder if they raised that to 7GB as a result of the whole storage new limit :)

On the Dark side, as a Skydrive user I would expect an email from MS to inform me of the new change, I got nothing....

  12. hey guys,

If you use android and you love your device this is just for you.

Maybe you heard about "Modding" phones, "Rooting", new "Roms" to add new looks and possibly better performances.

Maybe you heard about it but you are not a geek and riskying to brick your phone is not your attitude.

Then GO Launcher EX is absolutely for you!

First of all is FREE. It does not require any Modding or Rooting. It is just a great application and as such, is not gonna screw your phone in any way. If you don t like it, you simply unistall it and you are back to normal.

Once you use it tho you will understand why +10 million users love it!

It s a breathe of fresh air to your device! It is not improving your performances technically speaking but improves your "Expreience".

It comes with dedicated gadgets you may want or not, they are free as well.

It has tons of dedicated Themes (free as well, some are for sale) to change your experience with sounds, icons and backgrounds. Transition animation are a blast. Folder management is great and intuitive.

It work seamless with whatever you have already installed on your phone.

Level of customization is excellent. It is already great out of the box and you don t really need to modify anything, but if tekkie side arise, you may have great fun with it :)

If you have an older device and you are tired to be stuck on an older Android look or you have a launcher you might be tired of (see TWLauncher on Samsung devices), this can be the total solution to you fancy needs :)

I strongly suggest to give it a shot: Play store and look for it "GO Launcher EX".

Oh, and just because i m in a specially good mood today, I ll give you another hint: "Dolphine HD" browser, the best internet on your Android ;)

  13. Batwing, you may want to rethink your numbers a bit. 1 gig in 30 minutes?

White paper by Cisco on mobile network traffic:

"Average smartphone usage nearly tripled in 2011. The average amount of traffic per smartphone in 2011 was 150 MB per month, up from 55 MB per month in 2010."

"The average smartphone will generate 2.6 GB of traffic per month in 2016, a 17-fold increase over the 2011 average of 150 MB per month. Aggregate smartphone traffic in 2016 will be 50 times greater than it is today, with a CAGR of 119 percent."

1 Percent of Users Consume 5 GB per Month and 3 Percent Consume over 2 GB per Month:

    white_paper_c11-520862-13.jpg

To Kal but as well to all of the other users:

This calculator is offered by Verizon Wireless in the US to figure out what is your monthly usage and chose one of the 3 plans: 2, 5 or 10GB month.

Set the simulator for 4G traffic and have an idea how video streaming and possible Skype traffic can kill your traffic.

    http://www.verizonwireless.com/b2c/splash/datacalculatorPopup.jsp

My argumentation about 1GB in 30 minutes was quite exagerating, true.. but hey, if you "use" that connection, is not gonna last that much longer :)

  14. I think they are both excellent cards.

I got a Sapphire 6950 2GB almost 1 yr ago and I am super happy with it.

You should consider something about the 6950 that the 560 doesn t have: 6950 may become 6970 with a simple 5 mins modding (depend on models)

This would give you a superior card class saving a bunch of money.

I did it, it worked flawlessy and it works amazing. In fact I can say I have a 6970.

The process is really simple but the only care you have to pay to is being positive the model you buy can do it. I got that Sapphire for that specific reason.

Usually if you read the "Users reviews" you will see if other users are succesfully modding their card.

This is the only actual reason why today I could see a reason to go 6950 instead 560. Modding to 6970 delivers extra performances and put the card a notch above the 560.
