  1. Knowing where the collision model ends is a good thing to know. I was flying through the city as fast as I could to find this out. Obviously poles are pretty standard. however tree branches and leaves seem to have a lot of give.

  2. Weekdays I can be available for training around 7 pm EST. I think the only option is to connect and see if there is anyone "Training".

Can you at least be all together on a specific TS channel (maybe named Training) so that a new joiner knows what s going on ?

    Thank you :)

There is an air assault TS channel under the TAC channels. I am always in there if I am flying.

  3. I practiced more last night using the training mission. I assumed this is what dai san created for us. I practiced top speeds into the city to gauge how far pilots can push it. Using a flare at the last 400-500 meters I was averaging a speed of 200 m/s at a height of 15m maximum. I would say the most important aspect of all this is selecting a good landing spot. If there are trees all over the landing zone it can prove quite difficult to land and take off quickly and efficiently. I should be around tonight after 20:00 to do some more flying runs. I am more than willing to give other pilots tips.

  4. I am TOTALLY in for this !!

I can fly pretty well but I would offer myself as Pilot "second choice" simply because i would enjoy better be on the ground with my friendly Metis providing cover.

About how the insertion flight may work, here is my suggestion:

1 - Taking off together and flying close formation till a "separation" navpoint

2 - Separation navpoint means a way to safely slow down and allows Alpha to separate and reach LZ deplaying first cover troops; Bravo, Charly and Delta in standby

3 - Alpha squad confirms LZ secured, Bravo, Charly and Delta proceed together for a fast landing and departure.

Otherwise, plan #2, Using 1 Little Bird and 1 BlackHawk, fastroping insertion

1 - Taking off together and flying close formation till a "separation" navpoint

2 - Separation navpoint means a way to safely slow down and allows Alpha to separate and reach LZ deplaying first cover troops; BlackHawk in standby, troops prepare fastroping procedures

3 - Alpha squad confirms LZ secured, BlackHawk proceed for the fastroping delivery

Plan #2 may optimize delivery using a smaller LZ (no need for 3 choppers to land), may optimize transportation (1 chopper vs 3, less possibilities of shut down), fastroping with 4 ropes can be extremely cool to watch !!! (a less seriouos comment :) )

Whatever the action will be I AM IN, let me know timeframe for training !

I'm sorry, but why do we always do this?

  5. How far do those things shoot? Can you buy a sniper rifle that will reach out to 800m?

I don't think so. From what I've seen, airsoft is more of a 100-300 feet game. However, there are sniper rifles out there that will reach (not 800m, its a plastic bb). When I said real, I meant if you were to have a real M4 and the airsoft M4 in each hand, you couldnt tell the difference. Not to mention once you buy the gun, any real accessory for the real version will fit the airsoft version.

  6. Gunthar I really hate you...My wife probably will too. I've been watching airsoft battle videos for the past couple hours. I must say though, its amazing how many of these players look like theyve never fired a real gun before just by the way they hold the guns.

I wouldnt be surprised if I buy a setup lol.

  7. Well at that point I could see me arguing with some guy that his "SPAS-12 stick gun" doesnt have a 200 yard range with buckshot and telling him my dad could totally kick his dad's ass.

Sorry if this is sarcastically mean, I've just always been curious about this and airsoft.
