Sorry for taking the 109 but it's lots of fun when enemies literally fly away when hit :-D :rip_1:

Was one of the first things I saw when walking out of the underground.

Hotel was nice, when walking out looking at the Big Ben. Spent quite some hrs in the Emperial War Museum.

Spitfire Mk I in the back :-) (EXCELLENT STUFF)

Too bad we only had 2 days ... Next time I'll go by car (if my insurance covers it, that is - ...)

    Thanks again for the tips.

    All the best

  3. Hey all,

have downloaded the game as well. Saitek X52, rudder pedals and track-ir installed.

Are there fixed dates/hrs when you guys are playing?

Some of you may be cracks already, so guess it's a good idea to teach the others (aside the great tutorials already!).

    Greetings

  4. what a coincidence. just earlier this week I bought me a copy for 5 euros !!!

i'm planning to install it soon, so i'll join some games.

regardless of the amount of cheaters indeed on almost all the servers, it's still lots of fun.

just need to find out how to setup my 24" for BF2.

    which mods are we installing?

  5. Finally got my rudder pedals. Must say it's great. Adding a lot to the realism, though difficult as HELL if you ask me.

Never used joystick in Arma, though will do it one of these days.

Especially with the rudder pedals now, the chopper experience may be good too.

Btw, only able to play every other week, but IL2 is still there (though ARMA taking the bigger part of my "on-line time").

  6. hey guys, have bought some new stuff lately and am wondering if my RAM is being used to it's full potential.

Note below specs and details (copy/paste from "EVEREST"):

OS Microsoft Windows XP Professional -SP3

    CPU DualCore Intel Core 2 Duo E8400, 3000 MHz (9 x 333)

    Mobo Asus P5K-VM

Recognized RAM (thanks to XP...:() 3328 MB (DDR2-800 (????)DDR2 SDRAM)

    RAM (actual) 2x2GB GeIL CL5-5-5DDR21066 5

    BIOS Type AMI (10/30/07)

Graphics card ASUS EAH4870 series (512 MB)

Monitor Samsung SyncMaster 245B/245BW (Digital) [24" LCD]

    HDD SAMSUNG HD753LJ (750 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)

    HDD ST3160811AS (160 GB, 7200 RPM, SATA-II)

    DVD HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH20LS15

    DVD Optiarc DVD RW AD-7173A

One buddy told me to use "cpuz" to check some details (RAM in this case) and found that my ram is only running at a max of 400 Mhz !!! My new GeIL memory should run at 1066 MHz (which I changed in the BIOS manually as well, though the cpuz-test still showing max of 400 MHz). What should I do and what is the best way to test that your system settings are running the way they should?

    cpuz result for memory GeIL:

    bios manually updated to:

    Thanks for yr usual help!!!!

  7. Rainbow Six (the very fist one). I was in my 3rd year of university (Psychology) and remember playing 24 to 36 hrs straight, trying every possible strategy to perfectionism.

Although all-time favourite has been the GTA-series (especially as from the 3rd one). I hate, as much as I love that game if you know what I mean.
