    DVD backups

    Hey guys,

    Nothing illegal here ... I brought boxes of (great) episodes of a funny Brazilian show (original).

    We've played it here so many times and the disks are showing some scratches (thanks to my daughter mainly).

     

    They are DVD-9 format and I wanted to make backups on DVD ("5", or the 4,7GB version).

    I used to use DVDShrink to backup, but since the last time I reformatted my computer (somewhere in February this year), it doesn't work anymore.

     

    I open the program (DVDShrink 3.2), open (select) the original DVD, it shows that it's ready to backup. I press OK (after pressing the BACKUP button) and then the program just closes.

     

    No error, nothing.

     

    Are there alternatives?

     

    PS: Yeah,I did google it up but can't find a solution.

    I heard about a dedicated server that could be set up ... Would it go faster, as my computer already has problems loading Vegas on single player, so with 4+ players: lag will screw up my gameplay.

     

    Anyhow, glad to have started this thread, as all of you play GRAW 2 for all the time and I didn't buy it. (I had bought GRAW I back in Brazil and didn't like the online gameplay that much).

     

    Cryisis however is pre-ordered. Maybe I'll buy COD4 as well, Frontlines looks pretty promising too I guess.

    Just have to wait for my 13th month to enter the account as I just bought a 42" plasma :|.

    with a joystick it'll go easier, trust me.

    We've got some good pilots, so if you need some pointers, just catch us at TS.

    I'd be happy to run you through some things.

     

    For starters, take the LA-7. This little one allows you to make many mistakes.

    Until today it's me favorite fighter.

     

    Great to see and know some of you are interested in IL2. I've been flying alone too long now.

    Not every1 has their location updated and I forgot where you all are from, so pls update your profiles.

     

    Just tell me when you guys can go on and I'll see what I can do.

    Sofar, only evenings (gmt +1hr) are possible for me.

    Hi,

    Have been on here and there on TS looking for coop games (OTHER THAN GRAW2).

     

    I have played R6 Vegas in coop in the past with Maj3stic and AZ_Sniper (if I can remember) which was lots of fun.

    I don't see anyone on IL2 too much (once actually only, the times I'm online), so looking for another one until Crysis comes out.

     

    I'll have to install it again, but want to know if some1 is interested. Lot's of fun guaranteed.

    May sound like I have no life, but Saturdays may work for me. (Not going out anymore since my baby girl was born and don't really miss it either to be honest).

    Weekends work better for me overall.

    I am proud to say I was able to kick the world of warcrack :blink: habit :P

    Zathrus, you definitely have to reinstall IL2 1946. Coop won't be the same without you!!

     

    :D I got graw 2 yesterday all installed and patched had a few games yesterday and its all good. i got my copy from ebayuk for the steal of £8 yes £8, no box or instructions but who needs them guy seling them has more at this price, i did get a code with it ts loaded up and working fine. :D p.s seller sold t as a OEM

     

    Snowshoe, can you still buy it at this price? I was looking for it but can't find it. Also, it would have to be sent to Belgium. Can you check it out for me? I can (re)pay you through paypal. Let me know.

     

    As for the games:

    CURRENTLY:

    - IL2 1946 (again, finally)

    - Stranglehold (played it for a while during the weekend and in my opinion: Max Payne in a new jacket; which I did like a lot)

    - ARMA, once in a while still / when I find the time -- thanks to Kram (for the key)

     

    RIP:

    - Rainbow Six VEGAS: I'm looking for coop players, just uninstalled it to free up space on the HDD, but if some1 wants to go coop w/ me, let me know please!!

    - GRAW (1): didn't like it too much

     

    FUTURE:

    - Crysis (pre-ordered as well; just hope my -OLD- system can handle the game)

    Hey guys,

    what about we pick up or weekly coop missions with all the usual suspects?

    Zathrus, that includes you too!! So reinstall your game and connect your joystick (an Saitek X45 as well, isn't it?).

     

    Not sure when every1 can make time, but I'll try my best to reserve this time during the evenings.

    In order to "update" the list, people who still fly, post it here ... this way we can coordinate the coop missions better.
