I have not used the pre-made streaming boxes before, but I have used Kodi with the various IPTV streaming add-ons on my own hardware. My problem is that eventually, they all get shut down by the various law enforcement agencies around the world. While its not illegal for you to own that box or to even view the streams... it is illegal (in most countries) for them to broadcast it and it is very easy to track down the source of a stream to take legal action against whoever is responsible for it. Of course, once they shut one down, two more pop up... but that just means you have to stay tuned into that community to learn where the best new content is coming from and keep your add-ons updated. If you have the time, patience, and you won't get an earful from the other people in your home for having to change constantly, that system can certainly save you a fair bit of coin from the cable company and the box office.

in the UK some guys got jail time for selling the boxes. there is some grey areas  but these guys were commiting fraud also, but made the media give people a shock "kodi box clampdown" and "Kodi box users ‘could face up to 10 years in jail’ under new piracy laws" https://metro.co.uk/2017/05/03/kodi-box-users-could-face-up-to-10-years-in-jail-under-new-piracy-laws-6613543/?ito=cbshare

  2. played just over a week ago, it was short notice so didn't look into it (although ive know about the game for a few years it seems like?), but did notice this was an early access release.

it's funny u mentioned Takedown, 'cause that's what i was thinking when playing this for the first time, on that ship map, with no sound except really poor quality enemy gunshot noises, being shot at by incredibly alert and accurate enemies.

actually i persisted and did have some fun with some other maps, playing with friends will be good for sure. i understand the game has been patched but ive not played it since, and tbh i'm not super keen to jump back in due to there being plenty of work needed to get the game up to speed.

what i hope is that they have made a bunch of money from this release and can now get a lot more feedback and things will progress nicely.

the multiplayer lobby and server join system all worked really well, the ready room stuff is kinda unique to me, i can take that or leave it, just made it confusing the first time i played. sorry i mentioned Takedown earlier because that will put ppl off but at least in Groundbranch i can play a game, and join a server with no issues, so you can actually you know play the damn game haha.

the amount of guns and configuration is neat also.

looking forward to playing some of this in the future.

  3. looks like there is a second line to edit in a different folder

I saw another post about another typo from geoffegg so thought copy paste it here. I believe we are all still missing this second INI fix that needed still.

This typo is in the DefaultEngine.ini, in your Steam\steamapps\common\Aliens Colonial Marines\PecanGame\Config\ directory

Turns out the biggest bug in the game isn't just one letter long Templar, it's one letter wrong too.

I've found out ClassRemapping=PecanGame.PecanSeqAct_AttachXenoToTether also has a typo on the exact same line as the AttachPawnToTeather typo. It says ClassRemapping=PecanGAme with a capital A in Game which could potentially be causing a problem as well. (lower the A to "a" yes)

This exists in the DefaultEngine ini file, which is what serves as a default for the PecanEngine config in My Documents.

Just been testing it out quickly with both typo corrections in the Vanilla ACM and it looks to me like the Xeno Soldier's are definitely wall and ceiling climbing more, only tested No Hope in Hadley's so far.

  4. will have to play some more to see the effect of this, i mean they spawn in your face and you either blast em point blank or they kill ya. even on recruit you can get overrun. maybe on the bigger maps we will see something different. seems like the game is harder if they all pile in at one, and the result of this will be easier? or maybe just less predictable? through the first missions they certainly seem to be have the same, but it's rather cramped on board the ships.

  5. don't bet on the mining stopping. even though the total market cap dropped by over 50% recently, mining crypto it's still profitable, and it's only going to go one way again after that price correction.

you could look at it another way, use your own gear to make yourself some money back :]

glad i don't need a new card at the moment though. hope they ramp up production for the next gen of cards.
