    Lol Halli, I know its been a long time since I've been on here and posted, I forgot my login info ( :/ ). But I have the login in info no so expect to see more of me posting here.

     

    good to see you posting bud.... and I have a Saitek X52 pro Stick only and love it but no force feedback... the stick feels good.

    Down side, old tech.

    up side still feels good years on, plenty of buttons, pick up amazon or ebay cheap.

    What the USA need is an almighty big Microwave beam and fry the electronics on the flight path in.... A bit like shining a bright torch at a moth....

    and let Putin and Co. work out what happened? Whoops Did we leave our microwave door open again ?

     

     

    Invisible but deadly, alternately they could just release a big fart cloud and see how good Russian pilots are at flying through zero visibility shit @ 0 feet ALT.

    Talk to me, just spent 10 minutes wasting my time with google found nothing of note

     

    Whats the multiplayer like? Do you have to unlock weapons in multiplayer? Whats it most like we have played b4?

     

    Your answers at the end in conclusion.

     

     

     

    OK I'll try to give you an honest one.

    Pro's & Con's - Fun and pain in the butt opinion.

     

    I didn't care much but I was spending too much money in the so called Free to play World of tanks... and alot of time.

    I left all ingame clans and basically pulled away from it for now.

     

    Looking for something similar but not too fast and furious, something I could pickup and put down, something that was not just PvP or PvE. I had heard alot about " The Division" but did not read too much as it looked like a typical CONSOLE SHOOTER.

     

    But the other night I wanted to drop into a channel and do some chatting and maybe abit of adventure/shooting/MMO style, modern (not dragons) and fairly easy to pick up, put down and with some sort of progressive story and fun element...

     

    I spoke to Rabbit & watched some videos, asked alot of questions, ended up buying it on PC.

     

     

    REVIEW:

     

    It's not a tactical shooter, it's an MMO styled role playing game with PvE shooting and retrieval as it's focus.

    You know the type, go here, shoot this, collect that, return there.

     

    You setup a character which can not change down the line, (so what you decide on sticks, incl. name).

    You get to change your clothes, put on hats, change weapons and do a bit of crafting.....

    You can work on your own or in a group of upto 4, you can play only PvE or do PvE & PvP play.

    You venture around Manhattan/New york, finding things, killing bad guys and having fun even that some of it is the same old again and again.. (the grind).

     

    You can specialize in your load out as you level up, to be more of a certain type of player... medical, electronics etc.. but you can change anytime...

     

    I played the 20min tutorial mission at the start which is 3 levels and takes 20-45 mins, and takes you to LEVEL 3.

    The game progression is to LEVEL 30, then some special LEVELS (31 &32) PvP area and special goodies to find.

     

    It's easy to drop in on your own & join a group making a squad of 4 to do the missions on 3 hardness levels, as many times as you want.

     

    GRAPHICS

    Graphics look great, the third person moving around does not detract from the shooting or adventure.....

    Weather effects & time of day change in game, distance in nearly 1:1 with real life.

     

     

     

     

    Conclusion:

     

    It's an easy styled game (not ghost recon of old), it's more like world of tanks than simulator.

    If your looking for something relatively easy to pick up and have some not too serious fun, it's great.

     

    If you like MMO type games where you need to kill a wave or 4 of bad guys, get the loot and log off if your short of time, it's spot on.

    You don't need to be overly serious of militry to play, it is good & it is fun.

    You don't have to do too much planning, there is a guide GPS way point system but you can go through the city any way you want...

     

     

    All weapons need to be bought or picked up in game, you can not use a high LEVEL WEAPON on a low LEVEL player.

    You can pickup, buy or craft weapons.

     

    It's mostly like the moving about of ghost recon walk/jog (through the streets) with the shooting of a typical console shooter and the tactics of an MMO (WOW).

     

     

    It's really not like another shooter because it is not a tactical shooter.. which is a good thing as that can get too heavy for a lite night.... but you could find yourself buring 6 hours on this without knowing....

     

    Game looks like it will get alot more content, the PvP zone for example looks like a nice bit of fun too....

    Generally NO, they all sound the same to most old buggers....

     

    I too needed FW & had a PCI version, ended up buying (at short notice) http://www.maplin.co.uk/p/firewire-1-internal-and-2-external-pci-express-card-a49hh

    maplins, then using a Molex (normal old bugger hard drive power connector) to newer SATA power connector converter to get power to it...

     

     

    Then I had onboard sound, wanted Super +£5 sound and bought a sound card but needed old coaxial digital sound leads. so got convectors for that too.... to goto optical fiber....

     

    The joys of getting upto date...

    Well I installed "10" and at first I'm not impressed with metro layout or the new look, but within 4 days it's grown on me.

    I built a new PC after mine died 6 months ago and been using a old backup..... (motherboard died X58)

     

     

    New PC is my first booting off SM951 M.2 Solid state on a X99 motherboard & fast boot in not realy doing the SM951 justice.

    SM951 is a M.2 slot SSD running direct onto PCIe bus lanes similar to REVO drives, but the tech has moved ahead of those days, now you have BIOS support or should I say UEFI boot ( http://www.itworld.com/article/2826910/hardware/goodbye-bios--hello-uefi.html) as all new motherboards now BOOT UEFI NOT BIOS . The SM951 is accessed with an installation of Windows from UEFI boot USB drive/stick and once installed WINDOWS is in hyper speed.

    Reads @ 5x faster than a normal SATAIII SSD & Writes @ 3X faster than a normal SATAIII SSD.

    anyway, Windows 10 feels (once you bastardize it back to 7 looks), like a solid platform, updates are automatic.

     

    WHATS NEW in WINDOWS 10?

     

    It's FREE till June 2016, then it's £80-120 or $100-160, yes it's free upgrade for 1 year then you would have to buy it if you wanted to go W10.

     

    restore points have gone, in comes "Refresh and Reset"

    Basically if W10 goes gaga, you reinstall W10 completley, fresh then the clever thing makes back your settings.....

    all updates to the point of crash. Reinstalling from a USB 3.0 stick takes 2 mins.

     

    Internet Explorer will go in October & Microsoft Edge will replace it

     

    There are questions raises on Privacy regarding the default setting of W10 sending MS data about surfing habits and the likes so they can tailor adverts to your pages, similar to how cookies do currently… you surf a cookie jar on ebay and lots of ads are on pages you surf regarding cookie jars….. Problem is this is ON by default, many don’t like it…..

     

    All in all, it's not a bad OS... W7 was/is good & W10 feels good too. (to me)

     

    Windows recognises more devices off the bat without special drivers from vendors....

    Power saving is better...

    Machine wakes from sleep smoothly.

     

     

    All I would say, is this was a fresh copy f W10 on a formatted SSD with a W7 key for activation.

     

    Next I will upgrade a full running W7 machine with 50+ apps on. Will let you all know....
