I just saw that Kram had posted on the Happy B-day STAT thread, and his post is lit up a bright white.

After thinking a bit I realized that this is because his posts are checked as Moderator Approval Indefininately.

I was just wondering, how do you approve a post? I can't find anything for that.

His Happy B-day post certainly doesn't need to be stopped.

All the Sparta players are moderated, i.e. must ask for permission based upon what happened and certain sparta members smurfing (same ip, multiple BDA member user ids, other than Floyd and Kiwi).

However, like the rest of you I dont know how to approve the moderated post.

    Nevermind just figured it out.

The little white box within box next to the number of replies to a topic, click that.

That will open the moderated topic in a new window. Lower right part of the page above the radio button "Quick Reply" there is a pull down menu with "Merge Posts" showing. From the pull down menu choose "Set Visible (approve posts)"

  3. 4Uservers.co.uk went bust (ceased trading) in the UK with some 400 game servers. This has left some clans with no home. As BPR are our friends, we have taken then in till they get sorted.

  4. Yes lower better

2 things dictate performance of memory the frequency (speed) and the timings (in cpu access clocks)

So 800mhz @ 4-4-4-4 timing means 4 clks for access 4 clks for read etc etc....

So memory running @ 1200 5-5-5-5 needs 5 clocks to access 5 to read etc etc...

Now the important bit, the clock tic toc of 1200 is 1/1200 of a second so 5 clocks is 5/1200

800mhz ran @ 4 is 4/800, question which is faster?

    5/1200 or 4/800

Well if your good at maths 5/1200 is a smaller number so there it is but if you got 3/800 then

3/800 is smaller number so that is faster

converting to decimals to make it more obvious.

    5/1200 = 0.00416

    4/800 = 0.005

    3/800 = 0.0037

all in seconds (time) miliseconds mS

    ;)

problem is, you pay alot more for less clocks so 5 is normally cheaper than 4, than 3

  5. Just read the link mate and it will not support sli if you ever want 2x88oo cards and the heatpipe stuff means some cpu coolers are not compatible. From what I have read the striker MOBO is the muts nuts, Zeno is not the only one using it I believe Viiiper has one can't get a better recomendation than that.

LOL Viiiper has 2 Striker Extreme boards, my last build

    CPU Intel QX6850 Quad 3.0Ghz FSB 1333

    Zalman CNPS9700-LED CPU Cooler

    Striker Extreme Mobo

HPC Reaper 8500 but 6500 is just as good

    BFG 8800 GTX OC2 768Mb (626Mhz)

    Enemax Galaxy 1000W

Twin boot XP/ Vista ON 2 BOOT DRIVES

Striker EX mobo is very stable motherboar 300GB/s ports (SATA2) + 1 external. Backlite, LCD back panel built in with diagnostics, over clock with ease (QX unlocked CPU is a perk)

Save money on ram go for DDR2 PC6400 (800Mhz) lowest clock numbers

3-3-3-12 or 4-4-4-15 reaper is good and cheap

GTX is great, sli if more needed in future or update to Nvidia 98xx in new year.

    PSU 700+ watts

120mm coolers big and easy fits the Striker with all it's heatpipes

    Zalman CNPS9700-NT

Zalman CNPS9700-LED CPU Cooler (Socket 754/939/940/AM2/LGA775)

Best of luck but I think Zeno & Majestic have Strikers too (zeno with 2 aswell)

  6. Has anyone purchased from USA and had delivery to UK? I just enquired if a US site would deliver to UK and they said yes and it was up to me to pay any import duties and taxes. I just wondered if anyone had experience of this and did you offer up VAT etc LOL.

No warranty on item? if it's DOA or develops a fault then you have to ship it back and it has to go TNT courier insured, so if it gets lost, you get some value back. I would say if you want to run the risk, then do it. Remember import duties can be added and are 26% from USA.

    17.5% VAT +8.5% duty

I bought a laptop from Denmark, EU country so only VAT added 17.5% EU countries have no duty.

I bought Bose speakers from USA they added 26% duty extra £65 payable on delivery, before release.

  7. Nice to know, we'll be watching.... ;) keep us updated.

This sounds like a real change, remember to take photos of things you find interesting and we'll setup a special area for your pics & notes.....
