  1. By default ACE is harder, to achieve anything ppl have to be more cooperative or get pwned.

     

    I've not played Fallujah yet but it sounds a better concept for a Tac night JIP thing than Domination ever was (I know efforts to make Domination 'tactical' were gargantuan).

     

     

    Yeah, i have proposed a full on Fallujah tac for this weekend in the other thread. I will start a dedicated post for it perhaps.

  2. I propose a 'Hardcore' tac next Friday or Saturday on this map. Land nav, correct squad composition and weapons, multiple factions (US, BAF) or starting points with mixed objectives, Correct Comms etiquette, the whole nine yards really.

     

    Basically, the hardcore tac people...not to say we would exclude anyone who wanted to play but you should be prepared for stuff like "squad 1, land nav to X grid square, marker etc type stuff to execute more complex entries into the city. Also, lots of hurry up and wait. If done correctly, i feel it couple be a lot of fun

     

     

    Should be FUN.

     

    I am happy to lead, organize or whatever.

     

    However, if im in charge i will be enforcing the comms discipline, as it has been bad lately.

  3. The fallujah map is excellent. Though it did not go so well when we tried it the other night due to some tactical miscalculation to say the least.

     

     

    Also, The points your bring up Hajimoto are why i dont play on the regular dom server anymore. For the most part the ACE crowd is better about those type of things, but it still exists.

  4. Any chance we can get rid of all the duplicate weapons, or maybe even all the SMG's?

     

    The load times now are rediculous and many of us feel the new weapons are pretty unbalanced and not terribly good. Plus, nobody even uses the SMG's. Personally, i think 1 RH box is plenty as there are only a handful or worthwhile guns in whole bunch.

  5. Yankee, in general i think with the air/armor assets we should set their ROE as support fire based on targets called for by ground troops. I.E Laser Designate an A-10 target, drop, A-10 RTBs until next target is needed. Tanks fire in support of infantry. That would probably maintain the most fun for everyone involved.

     

    Whatever you decide, make sure to lay it out at the start.

     

    When i get on im happy to help run things, though im sure everything will go smoothly. We do have some talkative people though.

     

     

    Also, no backseat driving from people. let the mission commander do his thing, whether he gets everyone killed or not.

     

    And make sure to take away most of Karl's ammo, or he will level the AO.

  6. What sort of problems are you having? Do you have v1.5? You will need SH4 1.5 (i.e. the U-Boat expansion) to play TMO. If you are having some sort of install problem detail it here or come into TS and I can likely help as Ive been messing around with the mods quite a bit.

  7. Durf. I was going to try with the chute but forgot. Will test again...though in the past i have always been able to eject without a chute in inventory but maybe something changed.

     

     

    Now it is confirmed, eject does not work on any jets for me even with a chute in inventory and as pilot class

     

    EDIT: This was on takistan ace_Tdomi_54F. It works on 54e, so something in that version must be borked.

     

    EDIT2: after reloading version F, eject appear to be working again.

     

    Im at a loss lol

    If i get a chance i will post a video of my rollercoaster i named the "Fatalicoaster". Basically, its a coaster that drop from the top of the map all the way to bedrock then hits a tiny jump that flings you back up to the surface through a huge tunnel into lava where you die.

  9. So i noticed last night that when flying around any damage i took would knock out my ejection seat. Now, i didnt test the ejection with an un-damaged jet to verify it was actually working...but it seems rather un-real that the ejection seat would die after some small arms fire...seeing as its a solid rocket and i was still alive (and my butt was intact).

     

    I will test it again tonight and see what is up.

    Ejection seats are indeed bugged and do not work atm.
