    Sparta DayZ Server

    Hey Guys,

     

    As some of you probably know, Sparta now has its own 60 slot DayZ Server running Epoch, hosted by HFB Servers in LA (Should mean a good ping for most). Means you can build your bases and not worry about losing all your hard earned work. Currently it is running DayZ Epoch Chernarus and it has been very stable.

     

    But in saying that I was approached by HFB earlier this month and was given an update on some available features and new maps that are being released

     

    I was seeing what you guys, as a clan, would like to see on this server?

     

    These are the new features that are offered

    • New easy to use "CONFIGFILES" directory for all configuration files.
    • Rmod 2.1 support for all maps
    • BEC support for all maps
    • All mods now updated by default
    • Epoch Bootcamp Added
    • Epoch Caribou Added
    • Epoch Fapovo Added
    • Epoch Isladuala Added
    • Epoch Mountains Added
    • Epoch Namalsk Added
    • Epoch Panthera Added
    • Epoch Podagorsk Added
    • Epoch ProvingGrounds Added
    • Epoch Sahrani Added
    • Epoch Shapur Added
    • Epoch Takistan Added
    • Epoch Utes Added
    • Epoch Woodlands Added
    • Epoch Zargabad Added
    • DayZ 2017 Added
    • DayZ 2017 Namalsk Added
    • BreakingPoint Private Added
    • Ability to reset your Database to default with the press of a button
    • Many Performance tweaks were made
    • Automatic Setup for New Ultimate 2.0 Orders (not upgrades which is detailed below)
    • Lots of backend changes and improvements to reduce random bugs

    Blizzard Bans Single Player Cheaters

    Wait a second. I'm all for the ban on cheaters in MP, but what gives Blizzard the right to banning people who play SP missions with cheats? Why write cheats into the code in the first place? Seems rather blazae (sp) to be quite honest.

     

    Here's what it looks like in my own humble opinion.

     

    1) Blizzard Pumps out a rather good looking game, with cheats

    2) Someone at Blizzard gets pwned by a cheater on a MP game

    3) Said someone whinges to the Development crew of the game and has a whinge about losing

    4) Development team gets reamed for writing in cheats into the code

    5) Development team sends out a patch to stop Cheaters in MP, but as a result affects the SP side too

    6) Users complain about the bans put in place

    7) ......

    8) Blizzard Profits
