    Well this has been happening a long time is true. I can remember numerous incidents in the late 1960's onward to present day. The USA and Russia have buzzed each other periodically. But this week had one major difference.

    In the past, all of these flyovers by both sides, remain more than 200 feet from a ship, and as a jet approaches the ship closely they typically begin turning away (at least slightly) from the ship. This turning away is a message.. I am not a threat... just messing with you.

     

    They where not messing. How close would US planes fly if they have corvette or cruiser 70 km away from Pearl , San Diego or Norfolk?

    It was very spectacular way to show we are getting too close for their comfort.

     

     

    The ship being there is inflammatory... everyone knows this so we expect things like aircraft buzzing ships. But what happened this week is quite different from what one would expect.

    Obviously the Commander of the US Destroyer knows his position is a bit inflammatory...

    So, everyone know its going to be problem but still pretend we get "upset" about it?.

    When you get to bar, get drunk, start fight then complain you get bruised.... come one.

     

     

     

    ...if the pilot makes a mistake missing a ship by only 30 feet at what I am certain is over 350mph. At that speed, as you know, twitching wrong could have hit the ship.

    At first i thought it help but after game in T10 i have same freezes.

    Weirdly fps is lock around 30-45 fps and never go up. I can have on lowest settings around 70 fps.

    Until it start freezing of course.

     

    Game looks so ugly its not really worth to play

    your wifi reception is crap. I went thrue same hoops month ago.

    To solve it i got this kit

    Plug and forget about wire. Mine is slow, around 17 Mb/s(?) while isp (virgin) give us 50. Sometimes i can get 28Mbps with wifi, but ping and lag is too big to be usable for gaming. My room is one floor up and across staircase from virgin hub.

    We had several outages of net. Guy who come cant find problem, he changed some kind of adapter(filter) between cable and media hub(thats how they call modem+wifi router) and its working for now. We had one outage last week when i was at work.

     

    Btw. my Mbps reception change when i move my laptop for 1-3 ft and can vary from 3 to 49 Mbps in matters of bed lenght.

     

    Tech laptop probably have better antena then your desktop .

    looking for some kind of external storage myself but for for media streaming. I can't quite decide between easy to use expensive NAS or cheap server which will take some setting up and maintaining, but your requirements are different.

     

     

    as others might have said you have to look at

     

    how much data?

    and how important is it? (do you need a backup?)

    you need hard drives also, but you should mention how much space you need.

    Sweet. Thats somethig i was looking for and affordable. Cant find it in europe :(

    How much storage do you need?

     

    Drobo is very nice but pricy.

    I went other way to cut cost.

    On last hardware update i got motherboard with 5 sata slots. + 1x esata

    Got SSD PCI and set up my system there to save one sata slot. Used one for optical drive and still have 4 to use for my HDD's

    Then use 2 slots for raid 0 array to speed up gaming and temporary picture storage. (2x 500GB)

    Next one is used for my 1 TB picture storage drive and other 1T drive as backup for windows and picture library.

    As secoundary backup i use esata external docking station (usb/sata) where i store pictures.

    This drive is is hooked up to pc only when i do backup and stored in different place then my PC.

     

    For small stuff (webgalleries, text documents) i use free online google drive.

    This way i can acces those files anywhere.

    Its faster then any NAS and works for me.

     

    I dont stream nor store movies.. Dont need acces to my pictures outside my workstation (it would be pointless to try edit them on laptop..)

    And those i like to show are uploaded on my website/picasa/skydrive to show off

    When i was in CA i witness several accidents during commuting hours. Mostly rear hits. Saw many weird things people do during commute. Shaving guy, lady doing makeup, eating noodle soup, flying light bulbs, couches, chairs.

    I did couple hundred thousands miles there... But i had dangerous situations maybe 2-3 times during that time.

    Here in Poland i have 4-5 very dangerous moments every trip to bigger city. Narrow roads, full of potholes and peoples who are in hurry , risking lifes of others just to jump 1-2 cars ahead.

    I'm really afraid to drive here. I don't think i made more then 10k miles for past 2 years

     

    Not so much different as you see on this russian videos.

    i got around max 60FPS average 40/45Fps ( but in busy server 40pêople around 25FPS when they mess around )

     

    no shadows

    no postprocessing bla bla

    no high viewdistance 2500m / obj.1100m

    no anisot filter blabla

     

    what i doo anti aliasing X8

     

    details are on HIGH (at least)

    ONLY STUFF i need !

     

     

    i did mess around with custom face worx a little . (try old Face file jpeg turn it completely red u will see)

    looks like arma 3 is not for me at the moment

    I will w8 till tomorrow and see what you say about it.

     

    There is 3 different pricing choices. All of them give access to alpha and beta. Did i miss something? Is it worth to pay more?
