well if I knew what Vsynx was, I'd be a techie, there is a couple of weeks to wait until it is delivered, estimated at 9th Oct - and I am travelling that week, but patience is a virtue honed with age and wisdom.
It will be coupled to a 24" Samsung panel, so hoping to push the detail and resolution up so I can stop being so myopic about the targets - and OFP is around the corner
[and as I have neither patience or wisdom]
SEND ME THAT CARD - NOW !!!

I have swapped, for the first time in twelve years from Nvidia, to ATi and placed an order for a 5850, will give the low-down when I have received and installed - [taps foot impatiently]

Friday is very much a full servers worth - 24-30 players. I have only managed one Sunday and there were nine when we started - suggest 12 would be a good number - 3 x 4 man fireteams depending upon the mission

I remember loading games from a cassette deck, and now we all have 500 - 1000Gb hard drives just lying around. I can stil recall the tears when my "ELITE" cassette got eaten in the mechanism

The GX2 is second only to the GTX295 in real world tests, it should be sauntering through ARMA II with ease.

Last night - the first of the TAC DOMS that I have played was awesome, kept me on until after midnight....... My first time coordinating 24 players was truely enjoyable, I specifically liked the sniper team being shot out of the air before they had even reached their LZ - a moment of "any plan will not survive first contact". LOL
Thanks to the squad leaders, pilots and some raw precision shooting, casualities were light after that.
My thanks to Zeno and Durka who made it look easy, and to the whole assualt team, thanks to Sparta for hosting, what will I am sure be a very popular Friday night.
I agree channel commander would be very useful for multi-phased plans. However getting it set-up with guys who have not used it before can be a ball-ache.
Quote of my night was :-
TINKER - "if you had stayed put, like I said, you wouldn't all be dead now" - nice one Tink
