  1. I am back in Dubai, and I have moved into my new apartment, I nearly bought furnature first, but then thought "what will I do while I am waiting for it to be delivered". So I went straight round to the ISP - waited in line and [fanfare] HERE I AM!

     

    I did some speedtests to see what the latency will be, and I might be able to spark up ARMA !

    So all I need now is my PC, as the laptop will deffo not cut it. One step at a time.....

  2. Jeez by the time you've got this nailed, I'll be back home....got an apartment, ordered t'internet 16meg down and 2 up, just need to sort out which country I left my PC in. Dropping into AFG Sunday, hope to get a weekend in UK towards end of June, so should catch a mission or two then.

Oh yes, I'd like to volunteer to be in the first chopper as a grunt, as I would like to watch Bravo chopper land on Alpha and Charlie take evasive action into the mosque whilst Delta pulls up hard into the AA...........leaving the brave four grunts from Alpha to find their own way home, - think Black Hawk Down!

  4. Durka, I didn't see your post regarding Tim Hetherington, at the end when I saw he had produced the interview, it was poignent

     

    Named world press photographer of the year four times and an Oscar nominee, Tim Hetherington was one of the most respected members of his profession.

    Yet like so many of his colleagues who have placed themselves in the field of conflict in the name of photography, his relentless drive to document the impact of war cost him his life.

    After the 41-year-old was killed alongside American journalist Chris Hondros in a mortar attack in a Libya, a haunting final image has emerged of Mr Hetherington on the last day of his life.
