yesterday i wondered why snowshoe's absent so long. And today the reason came out.
i hope you could have most data usable, although this disk couldnt boot up. Cause i have two maybe 3 disks like this, only 1 is totally damaged.
Now, my desktop pc is set firmly, and I wont move it once it power on, even a small vibration will be stopped. I treat it now like god.
Hope you can go through and back online quickly.

The problem is caused by time discrepancy between game and ts. So i think we can use some other way if accuracy is required.
1. using the voice system within the arma to count down
2. using the command menu to confirm fire/engage, assuming we are in 1 team for these maps.
These 2 way might keep our actions in 1 step

For all of u with low fps: Try and remove all the other mods except the xam mod and see what happens.
I have several launchers for the game with different mods in the command line so when i play on server 3 (XAM MODDED) i only use that mod.
yea, this is what I'm playing. even queen mod will give my arma high chance of CTD. I dont know why.

my fps ranges between 30-60 so no hassle here, but whats really anoying is that the enemy warpes all the time. Even within 200 metres so they are really hard to shoot untill they stand still. So after what everyone else is saying maybe the patch is not such a great thing after all although it has a lot of cool features but again if it makes the gameplay worse
Honestly , I think this is a great mod, except high requirement of a monster pc and a good internet connection. It works perfect here, but only makes my ge260gtx overheated with very high setting. So I set up a dedicated fan for the video card, or it will crash.

seems like that was BMWcooper, yea, I'm the guy played in the BDA server a lot. and then I got to be away from gaming. And then I found I'v lost connection to BDA. They changed to EBDA?
Till 1 month ago, I searched the VS forum on the google and got my password back through email. Read a message posted by snowshoe, which brought SPARTA into my sight. And I also found many old name here. For Example, MUT.
World's so small, but changed a lot. seems like a lot of dudes are still playing OFP afgan map, like VS guys. Actually, I'm so missing the OFP ages. That's so diferent. Maybe we can get arma2 or ofp2 to bring our sense back.

Do you still have crosshair after installing xam1.5? I don't, so I must use the "v" to get the aimpoint. Is that normal?
Cause I saw the pic of floyd got crosshair, I'm a little wondering.

whats the role of service truck? The ammocrate from blackhawk and mhq dont have Javelin or javelin missile.
I found the domination map maybe would bigger and longer than evo. Anyway it's better

the a10, a1z or m1 after side mission can be repaired after crash? or they will disappear?
Can we recruit any ai? cause maybe we will need them sometime.

if they can benefit 64 cpu, then we'll need a 64 bit operating system. But for now, both vista64 and xp64 arnt very good.

played on evo server several times. I like it, cause everyone here is trying to fight like real and coop.
I just wanna mention one thing. Modern war is not only a ground war. If we can combine ground elements, special elements and air elements together, we can make it much smoother. Havnt you felt the ka50&su34 boring while it circled over our head. Actually AH1Z with both pilot and gunner can erase them easily. So we can use more armor surround the city which we are attacking if we have clean air.
But the first of all is how to keep vulnerable chopper and armor alive as long as possible. we dont need high kills scores with a lot of crashes. If we cant survive in city fight with an chopper, we can just use them for protecting air cover and stopping ai reinforcements. That 's relatively easy cause you can stay 1km away from city to do this. Have you tryied snipping in ah1z? That's the sense. Although choppers powerful, they need more protection from missiles and mgs.
Actually if we can form a squad with 1 sniper, 1 armor, 1 ah1z, 1 CQBer, 1 a10(blackhawk), and several ai support controlled by team leader, that will be powerful. Because everyone can share the information on the battleground any time. And we can fight much greater if we could form 2 or 3 teams like this and attack from different directions.
I'd like some small coop mission. But time difference is the issue. Evo mode can give us dymanic battlefield if we play in proper way. A lot of death means mission failed.

LOL, if Arma 2 and OFP 2 turn out as good as their screenshots and videos shows then I may not be going out of the house next year..
yea, we will be very busy since that. But I'm wondering when they will come out, cause I cant wait anymore. Personally, i like ofp2 more, hoping it will bring the sense of ofp ages. Missing so much

hey, I'm using gtx260, and it's really awesome. I havnt used 4870, but with 260gtx, i got max performance in arma and graw2.
But, I dont think u can still hold your 500w psu, cas I changed my 550w psu.
my specs:
e8400 cpu+asus p5qe deluxe
1 bfg 260gtx
4g ram
300g+80g harddisk
750 psu
Hey guys,wanting to upgrade my 8800 GTS 320 here.
Budget is around 250 euros and I'm doubting between the following 2 cards:
Asus ATI EN4870 512MB (HDTV,2xDVI,HDMI,PCIe) for 250 euros
and
Asus nVidia GeForce 9800GTX/HTDP 512MB for 275 euros
(or, if really making a BIGGGG difference: Asus ENGTX260 (HTDP/896M DDR3,HDTV,2xDVI-I,HDMI,PCIe) for 300 euros)
Side note: I only have a 500W power supply and want to avoid to change it (cause it would cost me another 100 euros for a more powerfull one).
