Amazing how good this app is, there is a free version but the paid version is $1 & it's well worth every cent !!!

You can set the transparency, icon sizes, text, position, apps, contacts, widget size, it is excellent.

 

As you can see in my video I set the Widgets to 70% transparency so they are not too prominent, widget text to 100%.

You can make the widgets invisible if you want, set any icon as the widget, download icon packs & use them, Folder organizers can goto hell.
