MH6~SPARTA~
After what seems like forever (since the Source engine came out?), Natural Selection 2 is finally in Beta! To get into beta you have to pre-order the game, however--which is currently $35 USD. I just did so and am waiting on it to download. It looks fairly nice, but we shall see. For the uninitiated, Natural Selection is a RTSS (real-time-strategy shooter), wherein one player acts as the commander for the team, researching upgrades and building structures, while the remainder of the team act as his troops in an FPS perspective. There are two sides--the space marines and aliens, respectively. The aliens act much like the Zerg in StarCraft, in that: Spreading alien infestation deforms hallways and causes space station power failure, turning off lights and shutting down marine powered structures. Use a flamethrower to clear infestation or weld a bulkhead shut for a last defense. Every game is different. It also slightly reminds me of a FPS/RTS version of Alien Swarm. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZCsgeVfiklw Edited March 4, 2012 by MH6~SPARTA~
MH6~SPARTA~
Game is really fun, but seems to have issues with lag. And I can't kill anything as a marine to save my life, but I can kill OK with the aliens.
