Dogs of War

Recommended Posts

During my deployment to Iraq, my unit was tasked with doing detainee operations. During that time, I had the pleasure of working with quite a few Military Working Dogs. Their mere presence made our job much easier. Iraqi's, generally speaking, are terrified of dogs. Thanks for sharing, Durka.

YEah baby.............. Thanks Durka good info.

A neglected soldier no doubt but they only need praise from the master and them alone no money, no glory, just the willingness to please the handler.

My bitch is about 8 now so I have been looking for a (German Chech or Belgian) male to be the next Tennessee ridge runner dog. (By the way Tennesseans are ridge runners not hillbillys)

Ft. Campbell's restoration is supposed to have a new unit of K9 training for the army where before most were trained by the Air Force

not sure when this will start but I plan on watching for it.

It's the IED dogs that have the worst job as they may not come home.
