Firmware upgrade for the DUET.

If/ When you buy a 'Squeezebox Duet' you will most likely get it with old firmware which you'll have to update. This can be done over the air (internet) or buy SD Memory card from the duet controller.

To manually update the firmware in your Squeezebox Controller, please try the following:

1. Go to http://update.slimdevices.com/update/firmware/7.3/ and download the jive_7.3_r6038.bin file.

2. Copy this file to your SD card

3. Remove the battery cover and battery from the Squeezebox Controller

4. Place the SD card in the slot behind the battery

5. Replace the battery and battery cover on the Squeezebox Controller

6. Turn on the Squeezebox Controller

7. Go into the "Settings" (if you see the choose language, screen hold down the ?Left Arrow? until you get to the home page, and choose ?Settings?)

8. Go into the "Advanced" menu

9. Go to "Software Updates"

10. Choose to update your firmware via SD card and select ?continue? Update from removable media.

Once the Squeezebox Controller is updated, at your leisure, please remove the SD card from your Squeezebox Controller.

It came out about 1 1/2 years ago and has had several firmware updates, the controller is a mini embedded computer with full colour screen, scroll wheel keyboard, volume, hard select buttons & motion detection.
