Win7 and Media player

I installed win7 Home Premium (over win7 RC)

 

I get no sound playing films with Media Player but sound is fine with Media Center WTF is this about. This is the only prob I've had I'm using a XiFi gamer soundcard and have tried lots of settings with no joy.

 

Anyone know of a solution?

Have you worked with the configuration settings and adavnced settings in the "Sound" section of Control Panel? I made a shortcut for mine since I'm on it switching things so much.

Hi,

 

when you have this kind of issue wiith movies, most of thhe times is CODEC related.

 

I installed on my win 7 this one:

and i sugggest you do the same. it may solve your actual problem but for sure it will prevent others
