THE FIGHTER COLLECTION AND EAGLE DYNAMICS TO RELEASE LOCK ON: FLAMING CLIFFS 2.0 UPGRADE DUXFORD, UK, November 17, 2009 ? The Fighter Collection and Eagle Dynamics will release Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 in early 2010. This will be an upgrade to the unofficial Lock On: Flaming Cliffs add-on. Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will feature all the flyable aircraft of Lock On: Flaming Cliffs and include several fan-requested upgrades to aircraft, sensor, and weapon systems. Lock On: Flaming Cliffs combines a large stable of modern U.S. and Russian aircraft to fly over Russia and Georgia with game play for both casual and hardcore flight simulation enthusiasts. Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will feature the same world environment and game functionality as the Digital Combat Simulation (DCS) series and will be online compatible with the Ka-50 attack helicopter simulation DCS: Black Shark www.digitalcombatsimulator.com. Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will allow Lock On pilots and Black Shark pilots to now fly online together in both cooperative and head-to-head online play. The Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 upgrade for owners of Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1.12 will be available for sale as a download from the Eagle Dynamics Lock On web site for $14.99 USD. http://lockon.co.uk/. The upgrade will first be released in English and Russian with French, German, and Spanish versions to follow. By using the DCS environment, Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 users will have improved terrain, mission editor, AI flight models, 3D objects, artificial intelligence (AI), and multiplayer. The aircraft of Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 2.0 will include: ? Su-25 (new 3D model) ? Su-25T ? A-10A ? Su-27 ? Su-33 ? MiG-29A ? MiG-29C ? evilducky Posted November 18, 2009 Author Share Posted November 18, 2009 Unfortunately the F-16 was never a flyable in Flaming Cliffs unless modded to be flown *possibility now?* You can see who the real pilots are from this forum as this is more of an Air combat sim with better flight models than that of Arma 2. Maybe you can use this to train as you gain some really good skills from flying this sim and brings it over to other games even with super simple flight models. Stang~SPARTA~ Posted November 18, 2009 Share Posted November 18, 2009 I have several friend that are in the Virtual Thunderbird's demonstration team, see the link below CLICK HERE They are awesome and use LOMAC as a basis for their performances however, the aircraft model is a F-16 on the outside and a F-15 on the inside, because the F-16 was never created to be flyable. evilducky Posted November 20, 2009 Author Share Posted November 20, 2009 they are going to start announcing more information on the A-10c early next year, but this is still awesome news for people that like both lockon and blackshark cause you have the blackshark engine with the heli in there to fly along with all the planes from flaming cliffs. Inimigo, you should def. pick up a copy of flaming cliffs cause its worth the money. Hell I think you can get lockon gold for cheap now that gives you lockon and flaming cliffs. If someone wants to fly sometimes let me know. It is important to install Hyperlobby to find servers online to fly with other ppl. This is going to be a fun time. evil, am using trackir too and prior installing FC, I was able to assign zoom in/out with a slider on my throttle. now, with Flaming Cliffs installed, trackir on, this ain't possible anymore. any ideas? evilducky Posted November 24, 2009 Author Share Posted November 24, 2009 The best I can tell ya is to center the TrackIR really close to the monitor so when you sit back it zooms back all the way, and from there I think the slider will work. I had the last version for a while and is very nice, but if you don t play with someone, interactions is quite poor, but i really do like this sim, although my preference is flying the F15 and sometimes the A10 (it has been a while tho...) I was checking right now FC2.0 and first of all they didn not keep their word. they said it was going to be about 15 bucks for the owners of the latest FC 1.1 but instead the only price for download is 30 bucks. Not a big no-go, but before getting it I d like to know if there will be any other Spartans interested to fly and set some mission. Please reply.
