Ghost Recon was made by Red Storm Entertainment and the lead dog was John Sonedecker

he has now opened a new studio by the name of BlackFoot Studios.

 

Here are the comments from John:

 

I would like to personally welcome you all to BlackFoot Studios.

We, as a studio, are dedicated to the absolute best in squad based tactical gaming. We have been in business since late 2004, concentrating on outsourcing art and programming work to various clients... Some fairly well known.

 

It is our opinion that the tactical gaming market has become fragmented and there is currently a void to be filled. We are dedicated to filling that void with the style of games that many would call "classic" tactical squad based gaming. There is still a huge market for this style of game and BlackFoot Studios is in a great position to capitalize on it.

 

BlackFoot Studios was founded on very specific principals on game design, level design and what makes a compelling, realistic and fun experience. We will put those principles into practice over the coming months on our initial project. Hopefully we can take the wraps off this project soon.

Ive been looking forward to this game for a while now. They've just annouced that they're using the Unreal engine. Before the announcement, they were not allowed to publish a lot of content due to some clause in their contract with Epic. But since they now have everything sorted out officially, Im looking forward to a bunch of new content being previewed in the next few weeks.

 

Also, if you join the forums, you can get access to monthly newsletters, which showcase some of the weapons, concept art and just general details from the game.

I haven't been on their forums lately (got turned off when I saw someone banned), but I hope things are progressing nicely. Hopefully they'll get the full website up and running and we can get more info SOON. I'm really getting anxious for this one.

 

And Viii, why are you posting real photos (rainforrest) along with the cgi ones of the game? :)
