USMC AAR - After Action Report

Through an outstanding effort by the four parties involved, the Al-Fajr mission where the team is tasked with destroying two separate Mujaheddin Weapons caches located within the City of Avgani, has been completed.

The team, led by X-Wind~SPARTA~ and comprised of Dai-San~SPARTA~, Punisher~SPARTA~, and +Medic+~SPARTA~, first traveled along the northern border of the city in attempt to breach its walls and ascertain the exact location of the first cache. Wading through the north eastern section of the city proved challenging at best. Approximately 25-30 enemy combatants were downed while moving through the five block route to the primary location. The team took incoming small arms fire as well as barrages of grenades from small arms launchers. The objective was detonated by satchel charge causing little collateral damage to team members and adjacent objects.

After detonation, the team ex filtrated the city north in attempt to rendezvous with military Humvees. Little resistance was received during the move to the Humvees. The team then regrouped, gave a situation report of reserve ammo, demo charges, weapon status, as well as being checked by one of the two team medics, and then returned west in order to complete the secondary objective.

After moving in to a high ground-overwatch position, team designated sniper Dai-San, assisted by X-Wind as spotter, removed a sniper and numerous infantry personnel from the battlefield with a range of 500 to 1,000 meters. Observation took approximately 10 minutes. Medic and Punisher took forward, dead space security as well as rear security respectively.

With the south west side of the city looking more like a ghost town than an occupied terrorist infrastructure, the team moved by foot into the formal part of the city. The mission ended with the clearing of enemy in the secondary target area.

The mission Parameters were as follows:

Sparta Server 4 rules and regs

Comms discipline followed

NO Join In Progress (JIP)

Both teams stayed within a 25 - 30 meter proximity for the entire mission.

Nice write up Medic and this was an excellent example of what a small team can accomplish when they are completely selfless and working as a cohesive unit.

The emphasis to me was on that fact primarily, in an environment where the odds are overwhelmingly against us and there is no second chance. No casualties in that setting is simply amazing and a testament to the quality of play you guys bring with you every single time you join a mission.

The 'No Respawn' and 'No Revive' heightens the intensity and immersion to amazing levels. One mistake, one time an arc isn't covered, one break in concentration and it's over.

Sincere thanks to you, Dai and Pun for reminding me what it was like to play at such extreme levels of team work.

This is what it's all about.

:thanks:

Thanks, this AAR doesnt really include the majority of what happened, such as the 'small stuff' which adds up to a whole lot actually. You have to be there to experience all that first hand.

You are right though, this type of game play is what it is all about.

It was a true honour to have been playing last night, it was one of those rare occassions when everything seemed to just 'click'.

Every time I looked around people were covering arcs or firelanes. Movement was spot on using available cover and spacing.

At no time did I feel we were surprised or outflanked by the enemy, we planned our movement and dominated the area.

Great planning by X-Wind and Medic, it was a pleasure to be under your command.

:allgood:
