Zathrus~SPARTA~ Posted November 14, 2016 Share Posted November 14, 2016 (edited) This is the largest super moon since 1948 so this morning I took a few shots of this moon as it got close to setting. It was amazingly bright and the camera had great difficulty with it as though I was trying to shoot a picture of the sun. Going to have to get a "moon filter". To my east are the Catalina mountains only 2 miles away and 9000 feet tall. So... by the the time the moon rises over them, it is already 50 to 60 degrees above the horizon.
