Their Pro Bono VP of sales has given daily unsolicited updates on the minutiae of the game for what seems like years, on the whole I tune out of this but some does sink in. To be fair I have asked questions as well. I dont get too excited about forthcoming games and have no interest in participating in Betas, never mind Alphas. If I get into SC I will buy the starter package and see if I can earn my way up through the game as I have done in Elite Dangerous, despite liking the look of the Constellation Aquila. When Elite Dangerous was on sale I bought a second account for exploring. I have a kitted out Asp and have already been to the outer edge of the galaxy, so far in fact that I had a scare about getting back. This is what my Nav page looked like, normally there are a couple of pages of stars, in this example there is only one. The next journey will be inwards but I am waiting on a community goal which will give me enough money to buy an A class Auto Repair Module. Heading to the center of the galaxy will take a while (which is why I bought a second account) and is potentially dangerous, as there are no stations within thousands of light years. I am fully outfitted with multicrew ships designed for exploration. I have a Carrack, Freelancer DUR and a Redeemer. The Carrack and Redeemer both need 5 crew. The Freelancer needs two. This is the first time I have treated myself to some nice ships at ths start of such a game..usually I do what your doing. Start with a starter package and go. But this time... well I decided the hell with it, although I will likely do some cargo hauling for cash, I do not want to depend on that at the start to buy ships I feel I need right at the start. I have seen some other groups are separating into divisions for Merchantman, Patrol/escort, exploration and Marines (FPS and ship taking). It is good to see Elite & Dangerous is working well for you guys. I am looking forward to getting back into a decent space sim. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

A lot of youtubers use the Saitek X52. Something with a lot of buttons and seperate throttle. Try Voice Attack to reduce the burden. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
