  1. Batty for future reference it is the AMD VIDEO cards that are CrossFire, not the hard drives!

  3. Goes to show you that all the money in the world don't make you a race car driver...... STEP OFF SON!
  4. This is a great WISH list.... I WISH A DEVELOPER WOULD......

  7. They appear to be exactly the same, but who knows maybe they have made some improvements in the low frequency range, but i do not see how they can get away from the antiquated straw effect.
  8. I actually tried these about 2 years ago or so. They were not bad for the most part but they were very heavy and the sound had a tunnel or sound though a straw quality to it. I remember the low frequencies between 20Hz and 200Hz being poor. The price tag on these when I tried them was on the high end as I remember.
  9. I know I shouldm't admit this publicly but this video had me in tears laughing... Ennie meany miney moe, catch a tiger by his toe, if he hollers, Hit him with a riot shield! That is so stupid and random I could not stop laughing

    BF3

If you are a glutton for data and information (as I am), this may be right up your alley. Great site that charts all the different weapon damage to help visualize which weapon is the most effective in any given situation. Click the photo below for a direct link. For those cautious types I provide a verbose link at the end of this post. http://symthic.dy.fi/?s=bf3
  12. Hey Batty - Common problem that is a MB manufacturer way of sharing system resources. In your BIOS there will be a technology call SPREAD SPECTRUM, I suggest that disable your PCI spread Spectrum. Also always double check using GPU-Z I am willing to bet that your VRAM amount will be correct. The incorrect DX numbers an be corrected by finding the culprit that is sharing resources and disable it. Just keep in mind that once the DMA channels and the game engine are in play in conjunction with your Nvidia drivers you will be getting the full use of your Nvidia card so I would not sweat it too much.

    BF3

You are very welcome Batty... like I said above, I am sure they will be integrating all these features into Battlelog soon. Sorry Medic, I could not resist.......
  14. I do not know how I missed this earlier but this shit is funny
  15. Another Battlelog issue I had read during development that the defibrillator in BF3 would perform exactly like the defib did in BF2. If a player is revived within 15 seconds after being incapacitated. the death is negated and the medic receives a onetime experience reward for the revive. (see pic#1 below from BF3BLOG.COM) PIC#1 I love this system as it deters stat padding from kill/revive crowd and it eliminates bitching like "Hey you asshole! You just revived me to have me killed again and now there are multiple deaths against me". The only thing I am not sure about is if the enemy receives additional kill credits from a re-killed revived player. All this being said, I put the revive negating death theory to the test and here are the confusing and disappointing results. After a fairly successful round in which I was sniped once and revived, I took a screen shot of the scoreboard and sure enough I was listed as zero deaths (See pic#2 below). PIC#2 But when I looked at the Battle Report it lists me as having one death. (see pic#3 below) PIC#3 This is rather disappointing because the system responsible for gathering and calculating my combat effectiveness sees it as a death but the game play does not. This kind of inconsistency begins to make one wonder.."I wonder how many OTHER things are negatively applied to my score card". I have forwarded this information to the DICE development team and put in a request for my life back.......literally and figuratively.
  16. I am not trying to take away from the the accomplishment here but i have a question from those that accomplished this: Based on the fairly short time from full release, it would appear that the difficulty to reach and complete endgame is fairly low. Is this interpreted low difficulty true or did you guys pull non stop/all nighters since release?
  17. When it comes to repairs that are on the circuit board level I am dead in the water as I no longer own an oscilloscope or EPROM burner. I would open 'er up, replace the bad caps and try again, you might get lucky in that the bad power sine may have stopped the digital side from functioning. I too have a Sceptre and have repaired it as previously described years ago and it is still being used as my work bench display.
