  1. **UPDATE** I made a copy of my server completely to another location, pasted the new 1.2 Minecraft_Server.Jar to the folder and ran it again. When the conversion completed, the world was there and complete. Apparently while coping the world over the first time (earlier today), there was a hiccup in the data stream that corrupted the header enough to have the world be trashed. All is good in the world (pun intended) again. I have tried the latest release of CraftBukkit "craftbukkit-1.2.3-R0.2-20120304.091010-2" and the world pops up fine. Now I am just waiting for all the bukkit plugins to catch. Thank you
  2. I've played the game, I have seen some trailers, I watched these. I now need a new keyboard because mine shorted out from saliva.
  3. Sweet!!! Wooo Hooo! Just started my download............... hey wait a sec I already own it..... never mind.
  4. Sorry for the previous post which I have relocated as it was unrelated to your question. Let me try this again..... Take it from someone that bought into the new Intel format (1366) and a new memory configuration (Triple Channel), that you are never guaranteed that your best choice at the time, will be long lived. 1366 was not a successful platform due in part, that was undermined by the 1155 format, which offered equal or better performance, at less cost. The reduction in cost was because of its dual channel memory and 1155 socketed motherboards. The new 2011 format has the same ingredients to fail as the 1366 did due to Ivy Bridge just around the corner. I would wait a bit to see what comes of that format before making a move if I were you. My two cents
  5. What I have been saying all along is the high end extreme chips are not worth the money. The Intel 3960X is $720 more expensive than the 2600K and offers gamers no performance advantage. The ONLY advantage to buy the 990x or this 3960X is bragging rights or running office applications, which in this arena of gamers, means nothing. I also completely disagree with the PC Gamer (See this related Hajimoto Post) article as it relates to RAM prices. Below is an example of 32GB (4 x 8GB) 1600 RAM for $289, which by the way is what I paid for 8GB when I built my i7 a couple years ago. I would like to share some results of a head to head comparision of the two chips doing what most of use would be doing with it ....gaming. Based on the performance results of the software we play is there ANY justification to buy either the 990X or the 3960X....NONE!
  6. Batty - You are correct that I did not craft my response to fit within your narrowed, yet detailed scope. What I did was, use a response that was previously crafted for a similar type of post, relating to new chip technologies and the hierarchy associated with them. I have moved my response to the appropriate post and will rewrite a post more in line with your question.
  7. I wanted to be sure to share this with you cats. It is really rare when you have a national magazine print what you have been saying all along, but when it does, it feels soooooo good!

Looks awesome Dai! Just one thing though..... aren't you driving on the wrong side of the road???
  9. Hey Fatal I have to be honest, I would have banned you just for signing up
  10. If I didn't know any better I would say that the game is based on the UNREAL engine. Lots of bright colors and chaos, reminds me of a combination of TF2 and Blur.
  11. Congratulations on the engagement Batty!
  12. Lets put it like this Ebe.... if playing Diablo III in April means I have to move to Belgium...... Can you please mail me the latest apartment / house listing in your area???
  13. I have to respectfully disagree. Because of Steel's geographic location, his average ambient temperature alone warrants the additional cooling. He is also buying a "K" rated chip which infers the intent to overclock. The three main variables associated with a successful overclock are: Voltage Temperature Timings The lower the temperature of the chip, the less need for additional voltage, which is ultimately why semiconductors and prospective semiconductor materials are tested using liquid nitrogen, which is (-346°F and -320.44°F). You will see tests that show comparisons of air coolers being tested against some of the top self contained liquid coolers being sold and for the most part you will not see that large a differential but where the liquid reins supreme is in adverse or extenuating environmental circumstances. Water is the best thermal capacity liquid and is 4 times more efficient than air is at the same job. A word of advise to ANY of you thinking of buying a new gaming rig: If over clocking is not your thing, don't waste your money on a "K" category chip. You can still overclock a non rated chip but you lose the ability to perform the over clock by manipulating the multiplier (a far simpler over clock method). A non "K" rated chip will be force you to over clock by adjusting the front side bus timings instead, which offers substantially less overclocking options and adversely effects PCI, PCI-E, memory and other motherboard bus timings.
  14. Awwwwwww I am too late Sorry I missed it Medic, I hope it was memorable.
  15. Just to toss a little fuel on the fire... [YT]iVa7B1bLv8I[/YT] BETA sign up HERE
  16. I am SOOOOO glad I didn't hear you say this, it would have ruined the commercial for me. No offense Batty
  17. I am not finding the humor in making a freaking cartoon movie about my inability to fly a helo! But I have to admit, they captured Medic perfectly!
  18. Batwing - You have to help me out here..... I would ask you to SAY it but I am honestly not interested in in hearing her words in your voice..... So that being said, would you so kind as to translate everything that she said to text? PLEEEEEEEAAAAAAAASSE?????
  19. You really need good solid core components like CPU, RAM and Mother Board. All the other stuff is easy to work out like cases hard drives, optical drives, etcetera...., that being said IMHO, If you are looking for long lived performance, my recommendations are as follows: Newegg Intel i5 2500k - $229.99 8GB 1866 SDRAM - $29.99 Gigabyte Z68 MB = $144.00 ($134.00 AR) Total Investment = $403.98 After rebates = $393.98 Intel i7 2600k - $329.99 8GB 1866 SDRAM - $29.99 Gigabyte Z68 MB = $144.00 ($134.00 AR) Total Investment = $503.98 After rebates = $493.98 You can save even more by purchasing the CPU from a MicroCenter (There is one in Dallas) $249.00/$279.00 respectively (in store purchase only) MicroCenter i5 2500 = $179.00 i7 2600 = $279.00 Gigabyte MB = $164.00 (149.99 AR) = $64.99 ($34.99 AR) $362 or $462 Respectively The only additional expense would be for the H-80 Liquid cooler, typically $100 Hope this helps man!
  20. I use the Turtle Beach HPA2 or HPX Tournament True 5.1 Headset. True 5.1 simply means that your sound ports/card must have Front, Rear, Center/SUB outs. Each ear cup has four drivers, Front, Rear, Center and a Sub. The microphone is is very good and comes with an 'S' filter (foam cover) thwart air buffeting. The HPX Tournament was replaced by the Z6A. The specs are exactly the same as in the same number channels per ear cup and so forth. I have tried the new Z6A Headphones personally and love them. I have two sets of HPX Tournaments and they work awesome (1 set has been in use everyday for the past 4 years), but when they finally check out, I will be upgrading to the Z6A. Medic, Grizz and Kdog254 own and use this daily and love them. Below I have provided you with photos and descriptions of the HPA2/HPX and The new Z6A. Please note the photos are live links to redirect you to Turtle Beach's interactive products page as well as the latest PC Gamer review of the Z6A (March 2012 Issue).
