  1. i heard that too lightspeed but after playing take on helicopters just the take off alone would take at least a minute unless you want to wreck the engine with a hot start. probably implement the physics; in ground effect, down wash, carrying load. if they implement these cockpit features flying lessions will be a must for all and then doing it over and over to get the repetition drilles in so ya dont do something silly like leave the main rotor brake on while spooling up on multiplayer. tac-dom would be awesome though with the added realism of it.
  2. i have take on helicopters its fun. looks like arma even feels like arma but the flying physics are completely different along with actual dashboard interaction of the cockpit (move mouse to battery switch and click it to flick the battery on) turning on starter motors actually aatching the dials for rpm, torque and oil pressure before ideling and then full throttling the engines and you have to counteract weight, if you lift cargo on a winch once you start carrying, it will add strain on your gearbox and you need to add more power on the collective. theres also alot more in depth procedures like checking the pititot tubes the airspeed indicator engine, gearbox fuel lines for damage the game keeps a running damage tab on your aircraft so you have to pay for repairs if you were pushing the rpms too high or doing crazy gforce level turns. take on hinds is completely pointless as there isnt even a story its just a hind added in so you can fly one in free flight mode. i loved it but i cant say how true to real life the controls are as ive never flown a heli... (yet) but i think id have a fair idea of the procedures and dials to read now. singleplayer is fun but when i completed the game it had no replay value for me. then its just flying around seattle looking at pretty tall buildings.
  3. is this like really graphic intensive? i assume arma 2 has wind because we have windage in ace when sniping can such a system be attributed to smoke plumes to make them lean in the direction of the wind? i haven't been able to get on for tac night recently as christmas ramps up im being made work 10 hour shifts up to midnight. after the new year if the world doesnt end lol i should be around.
  4. oh the gloves are coming off alright panic. coke also corrodes the bristles on brushes... i dont know what coke-cola put in that stuff. all good advice lads knew ya's wouldn't let me down. a lad is giving me a lend of his dehumidifier tomorrow. ill try the q-tip approach. now im starting to worry about the psu because that is at the bottom, but that can be replaced right?
  5. about the vw golf i think there are epc light issues when driving one at higher altitudes because the air is thinner and the ecu automatically thinks theres a fault with the engine if the fuel air ratio is off. hasn't happened to me as ireland hasn't got any great socking tall mountains but i'd well believe it, as great a car as they are they can be such hypochondriacs ive had epc lights go off for everything including driving through a 4" deep puddle. (maybe the emissions sensor got wet)
  6. the legend that was a good one i went to live and been hopping since
  7. most of the spartans always strike me as a very hands on instructables diy bunch when it comes to fixing something or building something which always leaves me awestruck. my project is trying to get a tv that i got from work for nothing, as it was a returned product (basically the customer returned it just before the warranty ran out to get a newer model with the rebate.) the tv is dated by some standards but its perfect for me it's an lcd 32" sony bravia that can do 1080p, with 3 hdmi, 2 scart, 1 usb, 4.1 sound system connectors, svga connector, fibre optic and those white-yellow-red things that adapt to scarts. basically it works with everything so im unwilling to give up on it expecially as i got it for free. i plugged it in a week ago and it ran without a problem. here's the snag however today i went into work to pick it up and i found it out in the yard in the pissing rain some ejite of a coworker tossed it into the recycling cage where it sat getting drenched for 12 hours. i brought it in and put it underneath the storeroom ceiling heaters where it's a nice 15C it's bone dry now but i'm not silly enough to plug it in and blow some tiny transistors. it will be a full week before i test it. but i wanted your advice on how to ensure it has the best possible chance of survival is there anything i can do? anyone have any experience with drying out lcd panels, green PCB's earthing, batteries? can fingerprints wreck them? i ordered IPA alcohol but not sure exactly how to administer it when it gets here, can i just tip it over and pour it all over the circuit boards or is there a bit of effort involved? as you can see i don't really know which way im supposed to go about it? any advice welcome. http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o738/babihrse/braviapcb.jpg http://i1340.photobucket.com/albums/o738/babihrse/braviarear1.jpg
  8. how the mind works under stress the mind has the power to control the bodys involuntary functions... an employee heading for a meeting with a very unsettled boss can expect to feel increased visuial acuity and better hearing. the brain tells all non essential processes to take a back seat such as your pain receptors immune system and instead just flood the body with adreniline, while this is going on it's shunting blood flow to arms and legs to ensure the wont get faituiged, get the heart and lungs moving faster all ready to fight or flight and make the body sweat to create a slippery surface on the skin incase grabbed. all these are a throwback from the hunter gatherer days. and are rendered a nuisance to the employee who is just being asked questions. the employee looks nerviously at the doors the windows and rapidly at everyone in the room stares at the teeth in everyones smiles then offers a handshake the handshake shoots out instead of casually gliding forward his palms are sweaty hes also leaning forward instead of standing up straight like a giraffe taking a drink of water keeping ready to run should anything unexpected happen. the instinctive part of the brain cant comphrend that a person can get stressed just meeting people and believes that all stressful situations are predatory and hostile. while the clostest thing to a predator is proabably 2 miles away and all this has culiminated in is a sweaty redfaced employee whos tounge is dry and is unable to maintain eye contact with any individual in the room for more than a few seconds at a time and fidgets uncontroalably.

    HITMAN

hitman is a game of patterns you just need paitence you might get your arse handed to you several times you go back and try it different or try a different avenue watch the peoples paths. nearly everyone in the game has to take a piss or eat sometime.

    HITMAN

thats exactly how it should be mh6 i dissapoint myself if i use a gun unless ist a sniping mission. theres always more than 1 way to finish a job. this was what i didnt like about hitman 2 just seemed too stupid you could one man army the map and kill civilians and police with impunity without a cost penalty

    HITMAN

got the hitman codename 47 selection off steam there last week. its missing contracts which is the second best after the first one. apparntly the license expired or steam was unwiling to purchase a licence from for a track played during the game and the game had to be pulled from steam.
  13. hhaha thats brilliant theres loads of those gems
  14. so what happens if the plug gets pulled or the power goes out?
  15. this notice should come on the user manual i know 2 people who bought a new laptop with windows 8 preloaded no windows cd and they're already staring at the blue screen less than 2 weeks after buying the thing. only option is to install ubuntu till they save enough to get windows 7 if windows == windows xp || windows 7 { system.out.println "fine"; } else { system.out.println "fail" } } // satire
  16. only 2 usb ports! what kind of computer is this at all?
  17. is it possible that if you try to change connection from one ts to another it will banjack the connection? i have been consistently getting unable to connects if im say on the sparta server and without hitting the disconnect from server before connecting to something else, but rather just connect to something in bookmarks. it results of a failure to connect to the new server *connection timeout*. is it possible that ts does not properly disconnect the first server and gets its hair in a tizzy when you have two connections? usually gets itself sorted after a reboot. but sometimes trying to connect to the direct ip adress is a good workaround half the time.
  18. i dunno man ive seen worse games than that on steam greenlight:: the race for the white house i dont understand people who can love politics enough to play it as a game. http://youtube.com/#/watch?v=Rc1rUiK3_hc
  19. they are truly saints i too know the pain of crashing my p51d warhawk into out of reach areas. sometimes shaking the trees just isnt enough. the're mad bastards.
  20. made in china trees i have never seen a tree crack if that was me id be tryin mysself to the heaviest kitchen appliances screamin the trees are gone. not recording the action through a double glazed pane of glass.
  21. zeno im a night owl a couple of pints on a friday night after finishing work spent on arma is exactly what the doctor orders. im too wired to sleep so soon after work. if ya give me a few minutes grace period before locking the server ill be on.

  23. slightly off topic but this reminded me of a demo of a game i played years ago. the game was called enemy nations and had the most detailed buildings hi graphics for a game that was released in 1996. the sad thing is this was one of those games that had an eta to market pending status. it never came out. the game was finished and winward studios went bust or got bought out. it's billed the best game you never played. enemy nations is now freeware it's described as C&C meets simcity. you start the game with a coloney ship and look around the land for the best place to land and set up a home. oil, coal, wood, iron and level ground are ideal. then you get an excavator for construction and a transport truck for ferrying goods between industrial processes. then build roads to make transport go faster, build homes businesses, a factory for vehicles and war machines need to make a steel mill and the steel mill needs coal and iron bought to it regularly. frequent attacks occour with neibhouring races. http://www.enemynations.com/
  24. cheers i'm actually trying to do this this week. trying to run wireless down to my shed at the back of the garden to watch netflix when people are over. got a 100ft cat5 cable and a buffalo nfiniti 300mps router hopefully it will work with the cisco one ive got in the house. i have a pvc pipe running along down the wall for housing the mains' wire so im doin a nifty trick i read about and will see if it works for me. to get hoover/vacuum cleaner and suck a wad of polysterine tied to string to feed along the cat5 cable down the pipe. i was also told if i ran more cables between both routers through the numbered rj45's that i would have more data transfer is that true?
