How are you finding it for your diy projects? Have you done anything for your multicopters? I'm interested in getting a printer. I'm likely going to end up heading up my department's sUAS projects. I figure since we're in the process of applying for a COA, I just got my 107 cert and am putting together a training course for some of our senior officers, and am working on our waiver applications, I might as well consider embracing an sUAS sidehustle, even if just for enjoyment. A 3d printer would obviously be a great tool and I've wanted to delve into it for a while. Don't know anyone personally in the RVA region who has one. I'd love to hear your thoughts, especially on autocad and the process you are using to create custom 3d objects and how accessible that has been. Did you have prior autocad experience?

I like Arma 3 a lot. The lack of interest here has been a bit disheartening, but then again it has been quite a while since LOS was active with Arma. I'm looking for an active server or group since I really miss the old days. If you're looking to get back into it I'll let you know if I find anything of interest.

I've been playing a lot of Civ 5 lately, and while it is nice I am kind of dissapointed by its lack of depth. I think Sim City would be a great game to migrate to, but I just don't know that I can abide by EA's bullshit. I've done some bitching about EA in my time, and I don't feel like relenting now. It is not acceptable that a company with EA's resources handling a franchise as coveted as Sim City provides a gaming experience that is bested by independent developers releasing alphas. Obviously this fiasco has caused a well deserved shakeup at EA, but I doubt that anything will ultimately change. Nice to see you all are starting to enjoy the game but EA has a long way to go to redeem itself in general in my book. I wish it didn't come at the expense of such great franchises though. Que lástima.

In my short time with Arma 3 so far, I thought it was much improved. Not just the animation but the first person aiming is significantly less clunky than Arma 2. Not quite where I want it but definitely a step in the right direction for something that was much needed. More importantly, you can now hit moving targets! Last night we were in a multiplayer game on an end user's desktop and we were picking people off at distance while they were trying to retreat. That's probably the first time I've ever had sucess with that in Arma, and was easily my biggest gripe (not to mention the most ridiculous issue in the whole game for an "infantry simulator) So for me the ground operations are soo much better and more enjoyable even so far. Sadly my short run with the helicopters left me soured. Flying helos is my favorite part of Arma multiplayer, given that the new Arma supposedly uses the Take On Helicopters engine, I was hoping for more realistic and challenging flight models. If anything it is easier than Arma 2. Hope there's a mod for better flight models and that Sparta would consider using it.

Sometimes it is a shame that there isn't such a thing as 'attempted involuntary manslaughter.' Wreckless endangerment might be applicable here. Cy might know. Anyhow this guy deserves punishment.

If I got into a confrontation with someone and they pulled that thing out I think I'd just dookie a shooter and run like hell.

On that note, that the names of the two games are so similar is bothersome enough. That so many websites seem to almost intentionally draw the two together is all the more frustrating. Logged on to steam the other day and clicked on ARMA 2. The top story's headline blatantly stated how WarZ sucked and no one should buy it. Why in the hell is this listed under ARMA news? This isn't an isolated incident. Lots of websites are doing this and it worries me that people will see so much "WarZ sucks, Warz is total shite" listed as DayZ and Arma related news that a good number of people will not make the connection that they are separate games. Even the Day Z devs said the sitaution is stressful because it is close to bringing bad PR or worries of bad PR to their game. Maybe that's making a mountain out of a molehill. I just hope the good press that hopefully flows after the release of Day Z will leave no doubts about how good it is. Anyway I am glad to see the WarZ people getting stomped. Bad enough they chose such a similar name, even worse their game doesn't deliver.

Well, after the Gatling Bow of Death incidents I am sure I don't need to emphasize how much I like shooting things in MC. Bring on the guns. Biome mods are the shit. I ran Extra Biomes on my personal machine in the past, really cool. LOVE the fall foliage biome. Others are cool too. Not sure if the tree decapitator mod would work with the redwood forests but if it did good lord watch out. Wood for everyone More varied terrain is great and adds much needed flavor to the game.
