  2. Patch Notes for v0.7.1694

General Join Red 5 for the Double Crystite Weekend! Starting on Friday, August 9th @ 10am PDT (17:00 GMT) through Monday, August 11th you can earn double crystite from PvP, mission rewards, and resource drops across New Eden. All battleframes are now on sale for only 7 Pilot Tokens for a limited time. This sale will last until August 20th. The purchase of any Red Bean pack now includes a new glider (on a separate cooldown), a new helmet, and decal. One per account. PvP Leaderboards added. Check out where you rank in each gametype on the global leaderboards and even vs your friends list. Ranking is based on ELO scores of match-made PvP matches. Check this out in your Nav Wheel or at the end of a PvP match. A new location reporting heavy levels of enemy activity has been located Southwest of Copacabana. ARES teams are requested. Low-stage ARES missions have seen a decrease in enemy activity and should be more reasonable for junior ARES operators. New advances in our understanding of Chosen technology have solved issues of destabilizing Chosen bomb placements when the incorrect key is placed in the available socket. The correct key will now help stabilize the bomb by 10%. The Chosen have responded by decreasing their bomb timers. Ratchet is once again selling special rewards for ARES operators with an abundance of beta crystite. You are still not able to create new beta crystite. Battleframes will now start with the ability to use their three core abilities. Players will still need to spend XP to unlock the ability slots in the garage in order to make changes to those ability slots. Arcporter keys for Antarctica, Sargasso Sea, and Diamondhead are now far easier to craft and had their resource costs cut down to 10% of previous amounts. Added recipe tracking audio to the crafting UI. Changed Jetball spawn countdown to begin at 3 instead of 10. Crafting Adjusted the Inferno Dash (Firecat) AoE stat to a floating point. It should now show that it is scaling with crafting properly. Immolate III (Firecat) will now properly have its area of effect stat changed based on the quality of resource used during crafting. Inferno Dash III's (Firecat) area of effect stat will now scale depending on the quality of resources used during crafting. Inferno Dash IV's (Firecat) area of effect stat will now scale depending on the quality of resources used during crafting. Power Field III's (Raptor) rate of fire buff and buff duration should now scale properly depending on the quality of resources used during crafting. Power Field IV's (Raptor) rate of fire buff and buff duration should now scale properly depending on the quality of resources used during crafting. Sprint energy cost was removed from the crafting preview of servos as it was a stat that was not being used. Bug Fixes Fixed an issue where some players would be stuck at the Armies of the Accord loading screen when connecting. Fixed an issue with Jetball countdown UI not matching the actual ball spawn. Fixed an issue where Warpaint purchases were not saving upon exiting the Battleframe Garage. Player location is no longer reset to Copacabana upon logging out and back in. Upon log in, players should be placed at the closest Accord-owned outpost in New Eden to where they logged out. Known Issues The duration of Power Field III and Power Field IV's field is not scaling with the quality of resources used during crafting. Players will no longer be able to completely un-equip a non-HKM ability. This is not an intended effect. Players are unable to craft Deployable Power Relays II, which is required to build Deployable Shield (Accord Engineer) II, III, IV.

Alot of Firecat nerfs... sorry jedi :(
  3. That's a good read, honest and well thought out. I for one applaud their honesty and commitment with this, as it means getting us good gameplay at release with more goodies to come.

To be honest the campaign for me will just be something for the back pocket, never played played the Arma 2 campaign, so not desperate for this. Co-op is my big desire with this, so crank out those custom missions!

Totally agree, the campaign is not as important as the multiplayer (most people aren't anticipating leading squads of guys through complex learned maneuvers they just wanna get in and interact with other players). The sooner the full item list along with an actual build of the game ready to be modified by players is really smart IMO.

I'm glad to see them doing this.

As far as giving an older game the Source treatment, GhorsHammer’s gmDoom port project is probably the quickest to elicit a “Holy %)#@” out of me since Black Mesa. It chainsaws out the UI, enemy, and weapon sprites from the proto-FPS and stitches them into Garry’s Mod with astonishing smoothness. I can’t imagine how downing a Strider with a blast from the BFG would work, but after seeing it in action in GhorsHammer’s video, I can’t imagine how it wouldn’t work.

The mod is undergoing a final round of bug testing and tweaks, and it’ll show up in Steam Workshop sometime this week for download. It looks like the Frankensteinian bridge between Doom and Source flows both ways, as you’re seemingly able to set up fights against classic hellspawn such as the Cacodemon and Revenant while touting Half-Life 2′s arsenal. That includes vehicles, and running over crowds of Imps in Episode Two’s muscle car while blasting E1M1 sounds all kinds of awesome.

Looks fun, I may try it out :P

  5. IMO the second video was done by someone who doesnt speak english. There is a Follow up the person with the first video does, but it is assuming you are using a USB bluetooth dongle, when I am trying to use my on board bluetooth.

The controller/program works fine when its plugged in, the issue I am running into is my on board bluetooth isn't recognized by the program. Even when I identity the hardware ID of the bluetooth radio from the device manager and put it into the info file for the program just like in the second video...

    It's Frrrrrrrustrating....

  6. It's worth a go, some servers utilize the a3 crouch/tactical stances others dont. That's pretty much the only difference I've found. The inventory system is just a BREEZE to work with (drag and drop into slots a3 style). Let me know if you have any installing issues :D

  7. I don't know how many are tired of the oversized/overrated xbox style controllers for the PC... but I am. Correction I have been..

Initially this was the best tutorial I found to get the ball rolling and it works great.... as long as you are constantly connected by the PS3 controller to the CPU with a USB cord...

Now, as much as that works, the whole point is to be able to keep my currently fully occupied USB slots doing their job and be able to play wireless with my dualshock3 PS3 controller..

Problem being everyone had videos on YouTube explaining how to hook the controller up with an EXTERNAL USB bluetooth dongle... I have bluetooth integrated on my laptop so I needed to find someone with a tutorial of how to modify the actual program.

Bingo, right? Wrong. After I copy/paste the hardware ID for my bluetooth to the file and save it (saving it to the desktop then moving the file into the folder as it wont allow direct modification) I go to driver manager in the program and nothing shows up...

Anyone have any suggestions/hints or help?

I know we have some real braniacs here in out community. :worshippy:

  8. Wow! Definitely can say there is no more of the "wahhhhh only 4 robberies this is borrrring" going on...

Now... just let me log into jedi's reaction meme cache..

gt+le+meme+arows+gt+4chan+is+le+bestest+aww crap seems hes used THEM ALL... :bleh:

  9. OOOOooooOOOOOOoooo IM SO JEALOUS! ...oh wait this is beta and you're gonna get wiped anyway.... nevermind

Make sure to do it when it counts (aka gaining a level from 25 :P)

  10. I really enjoyed the first , but as P says it was a bit repetative! This looks very interesting.

Yeah original PD was like 4 missions? This has a few more just in beta, also the objectives change locations as well as the number of guards/police, and some of the people you play with are COMPLETE morons so that's always a challenge too.

  11.

In Beta, there are 5(?) maps. Someone will have to confirm that.

The maps are randomized each time you play them. So the layout and patrols of guards, obstacles, and objectives can be in different locations from the last time you played the map.

We have found our tricks to a few levels, but haven't really experimented with alternate solutions.

There are several features that haven't appeared yet. More maps, unlockables, and other things will show up when the game goes live.

There are some small things that bug me.. like the AK sight being over the barrel w/no side rail dove plate attachment available, but the micro smg has a full top AND bottom rail... :/ I hope these are addressed. If not no biggie, I can deal with my twin shotty scoped shit storm. I can't wait to see the tier 2 primary and secondary weapon trees though.

As for the 7 day heist? I CALL TOP BUNK lol
