    Sparta DayZ server

    Legion of Sparta's DayZ server is down since last nights "blind" restart.

    IT_Zombie a regular (non sparta) on the sparta dayz server popped in channel to see what was going on with the server and I didn't have an answer. Everyone had moved to other channels and the restart is still glitched.

    Myself and Kavlarkos (fellow spartan) have both tried to get in server 11:00am CST to no avail. When one of the LOSC Moderators/Admins has a sec to spare could we get someone to bring the server back up? Got some work to do after getting my 2 week old 700+kill character murked! :ranting2:

    I'm not saying remove from admin position, my fault for using hearsay in my decisions. I understood 2 others had access. No worries though we got a much needed restart this afternoon! :allgood:

    As for the hacker cleanup that's a dif story :wallbash:

    Hey,

    Just a heads up,

    The Sparta DayZ server has been hacked on a major scale at least 2x in the past 72 hours. The first attack was when i was on alone player "jake" would teleport me to him and drop me from a hundred or so feet high and kill me, this happened 5 or six times as i was talking to him and asking him why he hacked and soforth. I have since worked strenuously and regained most of my previously hard earned equipment. The second attack I was not around for but it has effected at least 2 members and 4 regulars, needless to say your server is in dire need of a restart and possible ip banning/hacker cleanup, but that's totally up to you.

    Furthermore, we have some hateful chat going on in side chat currently, if you wanna look at the logs around 1:00-1:20PM CST players named alex and roger v, were getting foul using some rude language and so forth. I hate side chat and love direct communication. If there were a way to eliminate the blue side chat and keep direct chat that would be ideal.

     

    The main reason I started this post was to find out if I could get some sort of assistance with the maintenance/upkeep of the Sparta Dayz Server, possibly a transfer of admin login and server control info to superjedi or crispychicken. Both of these guys have my seal of approval (for whatever that's worth ;P) not only as regular members of your server but outstanding players and level headed individuals as well. My concern is for the Sparta server, that it is properly maintained and upkept with the standards that we as The Sparta Gaming Community generally hold ourself to.

    Thanks so much for the ability to play and communicate with fellow Spartans on a server we can call home, if we can iron these kinks out on our end the game play can only approve.

    Good ole Crispychicken is griping about "Gunthar's server getting hacked and needing a restart" lol when you get a chance, could you restart it for your boys? Possibly check for any hack damage on your end?

    Tac Dom 2nite?

    Hey guys!

    Long time no see!!! I have been absolutely working my ass off for the past two months! I heard from a jedi that happens to be super that there is supposed to be tac dom happening later this evening, I am planning on joining in the fun.

    Nice vid. I really need to play more DayZ, so I actually get somewhere with it!

    My apologies then on the private message issue then. I thought i had directed that message to private to the kid who seriously lost it on me for advising his buddy to keep from sprinting mid city... it was more of a warning than a threat.

    The jury is still out on the other changes, i have yet to notice..

    Sup guys,

    Sucks, but this may very well be my last communication with the spartans.

    After spending better part of 3 years gaming with various members of your gaming community over different games, i never thought id see what is happening on the sparta dayz server. I tend to keep my nose out of the inner workings, but lately its a bit much to overlook.

    The "ill ice you on sight" warning was a private message I sent to the player who YELLED AT ME on coms for advising his partner to keep low and I copied the TEXT message to the admin at the time (skaz) who replies with "wtf im admin i don't care I'm here to have fun"... I may be wrong but if there was something wrong with that message, the time to say something would've been then and there, not to pass it along to the guy who brought the players in.

    Same thing with the racism that has been spammed across your server by someone strangely accepted (its unbeknownst to me why exactly, other than he duplicates items and is a now widely known cheater). I say strangely because he is the only one that is spamming racism, he is the only one trolling the sidechat and giving away team position by letting off full clips of DMR cause he "just wanted to scare you" (right gunthar?).

    This persistent and pervasive ignoring of the wrong doings in game, refusal to discipline the constant racist and rude TS3 abuse and side chat banter (which we lose in beta THANK GOD!), and the "lets bring any old moron into the main base camp" mentality is very evident. The end result is, unintelligible TS channels, lowered quality of game play if not completely unplayable, and a widespread understanding you and your gaming community supports cheaters, racists, and shitty survival tacticians.

    What happened to the strict no racism policy, strict TS control, strict control of well the server with YOUR NAME ON IT PERIOD? Id like to see ANY of this shit fly in the old school spartan arma channels, i laugh because IT WOULD NEVER BE ALLOWED. I have heard it from many vet spartan officials, and i 150% agree its time to drop the hammer on YOUR server, its time to regulate. Otherwise you are just another name on the list of servers, there is nothing that makes you special or sets you apart.

    To those Sparta members that do enhance many different game's gameplay for the better, my hat is off to you, you are the reason this group caught my interest, you are the TRUE spartans on this site.

    My apologies if this ruffled any feathers, just trying to set the record straight from my end, so if you'll excuse the long note, ill be on my way.
