  1. Hey Sorry Cylawyer I wasn´t aware you are quoting Halo and not me. So I take back everything I said and yes man maybe you are right "Baby stuff". Or better said really not up to date. I mean I also listened to the stuff "Metallica","Anthrax","Iron Maiden" etc. about 100 years ago. Hey come on Halo you don´t listen that old to me on the comms.....;))
  2. What do you think about this band called "TOOL"? Baby stuff too? I only can say that these guys are great musicians. BTW same thing to the guys from Thievery Corporation.   3. I really wouldn´t say that Thievery Corporation is "BABY STUFF". What about that? But I think you have got something harder in mind like that for instance: Btw it is a cover version of New model armies "The hunt". But much better then the original.

  5. As I love music more than everything else in the world I would like to know what you guys are listening to. This band is one of my favourite at the moment but off course not the only.   6. Don´t forget that You can´t respawn your stick at the next AO. And there will be also no revive when hurting yourself. So be careful and play it smart, play it tactical. Try to think like a chess player. Always one step forward.....;))
  7. I would definately appreciate any help. Either on the technical but also on the creative side. Appearently I started to work something out and I totally agree with you to make a little bit more complcated mission and exciting missions. And as you said the possibilities are endless and the nice thing is that Arma2 with the powerful editor is capable of nearly any scenario thinkable. If you are interested I would like to describe you what I have worked out so far.
  8. I totally agree. Oblivion and Fallout3 are one of my absolute favourite games ever (as I personally also love RPGs). Especially Oblivion is an absolute awsome game. I never felt so free in gameplay and character-developing like in Oblivion. Also I think its engine is very powerful. But first of all it is the how detailed the game is made. I mean its not only to create a RPG and let somebody conquere dungeons, ruins, castles etc. It is also to create a new world with its history and culture. And therefore I think that Oblivion is a fantastic sequal to Morrowind, which also was a fantastic game. I just think that in Oblivion they corrected the small things I was complaining about. Anyway for me Oblivion is a game which is couldn´t have been done better. Fallout3 on the other hand could have been done better. My biggest complain about the game is the weaponary. I plaid in those days the whole Fallout series and I thought when Bethesda will bring out Fallout3 they will advance a little bit in this case. To be honest at the end of Fallout3 I got a little bit bored. The Rogue Warrior trailer looks fantastic. Lets see what Bethesda will release. However I would like a sequal to Oblivion. A "The elder scrolls 5".
  9. Yes I also think that VTS would be the better choice and I will definately get a little bit more used to it just to see of what it is capable of. In generally what I would really appreciate on missions is for example to have several objectives and that one objective is dependent on the success of the first objective. For example: 1st objective could be take out the early radar station and the SAM site around it so that 2nd objective, bring in the troops by choppers and occupy a town, could be achieved. So that a small strike team is on to fulfill objective 1 while a 2nd team with choppers is on station and will take off when 1st objective is done. So the question is: Is VTS capable of making such scenarios?
  10. Could be also a nice idea to make individual scenarios. I never used VTS. But I am quite used to the Real Time editor. But RTE has a disadvantage of using a tool called RTE capture which first forms the edited and spawned stuff into a XML file and then into a I think sqm. So in praxis it means that you have to edit, spawn all the stuff, place it where you want, then jump to desktop form it into xml and then sqm, jump again to the game and then it will appear. I just fear that this with all the jumping to desktop and to game will cause some game-crashes. As I saw in the forums the VTS2 tool should work better, but as I said I am not used to it at the moment. Have you used it before and know how it works?
  11. This, I fear, is nearly impossible to make it that unique. I meant that the next mission starts at the same point of achieved conditions, of which the finished objectives should take care. But I surly want to add traces of battles like demolished buildings wrecks, dead bodies etc. But I think its not that important that the jeep I left the mission before at a certain spot will be again there exactly in the same spot in the next mission. Also the next mission will start a few hours later as like in reality every mission needs a preparation of at least 1 - 2 hours. To be honest, I don´t really have a mission devoloping for the whole campaign in mind, but at least for the first 3 for example. I also would appreciate any ideas for an ongoing storyline. I definately will start editing the first mission and then I will see where are the problems. And hopefully I will find a solution when encountering any problems.
  12. After reading Phisher´s thread about a persistent game for Arma2 coop, i thought about why not making a complete new MP campaign with an ongoing storyline. Here is the idea: A completely new MP campaign in the domination style which is for example 10 missions big. Each mission will start there where the mission before ended. Each mission will be about 3-4 hours long. I thought for example to start the mission on the carrier, so that the first task would be to establish a new base at the small airfield located in the SW of Chernarus. The objectives could be to take the airstrip and lets say the 3 closest towns. As this mission starts on the carrier it would be logical to have in addition to the ground team also airsupport. Dependent of the direction from which the strike-team approaches the enemy will call reinforcements and also will make a counter-attack to keep it dynamic and realistic. Once the mission is finished the next mission will start, but this time at the captured airstrip and not on the carrier. The objetives for mission 2 could then be for example to seize the next 3 towns. And so on until the whole map is conquered in for instance 10 missions. I think the advantage of this could be to have more dynamic and tactical gameplay because of a hgher detailed mission design. It would be possible to build enemy fortifications, place enemy soldiers into buildings or on top of roofs. It would also be possible to have a big variety of objectives then just only to seize one town after another. This is off course a very big project and needs to be done by experienced and motivated people. I would really like to start that project but I need some help for this as i am quite experienced in editing SP missions but never tried to make a MP mission. So if there is somebody interested in this project please contact me.
  13. MP Campaign. I think that the only way to get the whole thing realized is to edit a completely new campaign. We see everyday the result what happens after finishing 8 or more towns. The whole game starts to be laggy due to too much information the server has to get along with. Deleting some dead bodies is not enough for keeping the game steady. The other thing is that I don´t know anybody who tried to save a multiplayer game with this amount of players. I mean there is a big difference in saving a coop mission with 4 players and a domination map with over lets say 15 players. I think it will cause problems of which we are even not aware that they exist. So my opinion for the whole problem is, to make a completely new campaign for multiplayer based on Domination but with smaller mission goals. So that one mission for example takes about 3-4 hours to achieve in tactical domination style, and once completed the next session will start. In this case saving the mission is not needed, but there is something like an on going storyline. It would also be possible like said before to combine several maps like Utes, Panthera and Namalsk. But as I said before the mission goals have to be reduced to lets say 2 or 3 town per mission. But in this way the mission design can be much more detailed and harder to compete. This is another point I wanted to mention. Why not make a mission that hard that there could be a possibility of being defeated in coop. The enemy wipes us out. Game over man, Game over. So that we have to play the mission again from the very beginning. I think that could bring some motivation into the gameplay. But such a thing has to be edited completely new by people from here. Nobody else will write a campaign that would fit into the style of playing played on the tac dom servers here. So now there are mission editors asked to step forward who have the experience, the time and the courage for such a project. I think it could be worth it.......

  15. I can try to write a script that will at least rearm all spawnable vehics when i.e closer than 3m to the ammo truck. What I need is a list of the names of the spawnable vehics and the ammo truck(s). I maybe can try to make it also for all the Bonus vehicles but you have to know with what name they will appear. Then I will write the script, make an example mission and you can just copy and paste the trigger + the script I generated in this example mission to your dom-mission (in editor + mission folder). Then pbo it and try it out.
  16. Good work Zeno. I enjoyed it yesterday and like the idea of using light vehicles in tac dom. I think another idea for tac dom could be to use the unarmed version of the Little Birds called MH-6 which are designed to come in very low and bring small amount of troups into hot zones. Maybe its worth a try.
  17. I am currently working on a script that will spawn a few SU34s and SU25s at the border of the map to start an air-attack either at one of the FARPs or at the base. I will set it off every 30 minutes with a warning-message that there will be an attack in 2 minutes so everybody can prepare for the defense. Only thing is that I have to figure out how I can activate the trigger for the FARP. Strongharm told me that the FARPs are named as XFARP1A and XFARP2A and when not deployed they are still somewhere at the border of the map. So I thought to activate the script and so to activate an attack at one of the FARPs I have to make use of the distance between base and FARP. like: ? (XFARP1A distance Base) <= 2000 : goto "SU_Attack" that should work. If anybody has another idea for example a chopper or a tank attack or something else let me know.

Otherwise you are not greek. To live life here is rule nr 1 and then everything else. @Durka My mom is from the northern part of greece 80 km east of Thessaloniki. The small town is called Serres. My father is german and I grew up in Germany. (born in Hamburg but lived most of the years in Germany in the Black Forrest at the town of Freiburg) 5 years ago I moved to the island of crete and I live here now working as a chef in a hotel. But now the season is over and I have 5 months free time until the next season, which will start on april.
